Read MoreDescription: The PTAE500U projector uses a newly developed optical system intended specifically for cinema viewing, along with a 130W UHM lamp. This enables reproduction of an extremely wide range of colors, helping to enhance subtlety and detail in projected images. High-definition 1280 x 720 LCD panels provide very high quality images. The 16:9 aspect ratio LCD panel features a width-to-height ratio similar to movie theater screens, providing cinema-style entertainment in your living room. HDTV broadcasts and DVD videos produced in 16:9 format will use the full panel resolution, unlike 4:3 projectors where a large portion of the panel is wasted on "black bars" projected above and below the movie image. The newly-developed "Cinema Works" circuit uses advanced technology to deliver superb images to your screen. The circuit includes 10-bit full digital processing and digital gamma correction, along with Projector AI, Dynamic Sharpness Control and Digital Cinema Reality, making the picture crisp and clean. New Smooth Screen technology gives film-like smooth image reproduction. And, you'll appreciate the 2058-pattern user-adjustable picture equalizing, which includes 6 picture modes (Normal, Dynamic, Cinema 1, Cinema 2, Video and Natural). Technology in the PTAE500U help alleviate some of the common problems associated with front projectors. Ambient light in the viewing room, such as light sneaking through window blinds, can cause the projected image to become washed out. High brightness lets you view a high-quality image under less-than-ideal lighting conditions. A projector that isn't level produces a trapezoidal-shaped image, referred to as "keystoning". Digital keystone correction corrects this image distortion to provide the proper aspect ratio. A high contrast ratio provides deep blacks and bright whites. A large selection of input options allows you to connect all kinds of video sources, such as a DVD player or VCR. There's also a DVI input and a PC input terminal that lets you use the projector as a large monitor. The DVI-D connection provides an all-digital signal that's clearer than analog VGA connections. Replacement lamp costs are kept to a minimum thanks to the long life provided by the 130W UHM lamp. And, the low-noise cooling fan won't disturb you while you watch your favorite movies. Minimize |
