RX-V657 SleeperStrengths: -On screen display -YAPO auto setup -Extreme clarity when reproducing highs, very detailed sound -Assignable digital inputs -Video up-conversion -All speaker outputs are banana plug type Weakness: -Somewhat dimmer display than I’m use to -Non learning remote Overall, I am very pleased with the new Yamaha receiver. I was a little worried that there would be little noticeable difference. WOW was I wrong. I believe this is all do to the YAPO auto setup feature, I believe it was able to equalize the differences of my speakers, and balance it all out. This was a definite good buy at $330.

Yamaha RX-V657 A/V ReceiverStrengths: Sound quality Weakness: None so far I bought this receiver to replace a JVC I had because I wanted better sound quality. I am very happy with it. The sound fields provide the ability to choose one which fits the movie you are watching and the 7 channel stereo mode makes listening to music much more enjoyable. I would highly recommed it, and at $350 including shipping, I doubt there is a better deal around.

I purchased this from IBUYPLASMA and the box arrived as promissed. There was a puncture on the side most likely by shipper and I was on vacation when it came. I called and took photos and they helped place it on record. The unit works fine, thank god. I purchased the new Focal sib series speakers and they sound great. Don't want to spend to much but have quality, this is it. It has a microphone...
