Good budget sub

Strengths: Powerful for small rooms, auto on, price

Weakness: No LFE

This is my second subwoofer, it replaced a 125W one that was a larger model but I have not been able to discern any difference between this 50W model and the higher wattage one. The lack of an LFE input may be a concern to others but I hooked it up to just the L audio from my receiver's subwoofer out RCA port and it has enough booming power to knock things off the wall in the next room. This one...

Polk Audio PSW-10

Strengths: Great price. Small package. Looks great. Sounds great for it's size.

Weakness: Could use a little more power. Some decent footers would be nice

This was actually a freebie with the purchase of the SurroundBar. I had the option to upgrade but stuck with this for two reasons. One, it's footprint is as small as can be and two, I didn't need to go all out for this setup that only uses a Surroundbar(living room). Fyi I have a fullblown HT setup in my basement with dual subs, 7.1 surround etc etc so I know what a great sub can do. No, this is...

Not bad for 99$

Strengths: Nice looking with good sound

Weakness: Distort when increase the sub volumn

Everything is good except it will distort when sub volume is turned to certain level. I don't have time to check into this issue yet. Maybe the way i hook it up.... i use it in a small apartment and it provide very good sound for me.

Great Sub

Strengths: Phase Switch, Looks, Sound, Volume

Weakness: No LFE

Don't let the nonexistant LFE input scare you. Hook up your LFE out from your receiver to either the left or right, and there you have it! No need to do all the wiring the "polk" way. The system sounds great, and you would expect it to sound more like a 200W sub, even though its only rated at 50W. Polk comes through again on their budget sub. Would recommend to anyone thats looking into buying a...

Best price for SubWoofer

Strengths: Phase switch, adjustable crossover and auto Off. Deep, tight and very accurate base!

Weakness: No LFE input.

I have this subwoofer with the monitor speakers and a HUGE difference it has made! I have a Polk CS1 as my center channel speaker and Polk Monitor 50's for my fronts and this sub has pulled all my speakers together for unbelievable crisp, clean and accurate sound. The difference between this sub and the Bose sub is price and power.

PSW10

Strengths: Nice deep bass compact in size

Weakness: some distortion when the level is turned to high

I start out by using only left line in for the subwoofer and the sound quality is disappointing. It does not even sound like it was on. When switching to the left/right line in, the sound quality is very good. Even though the distortion is still there, this 10" subwoofer does provide enough power for a medium sized room.

PSW10

Strengths: Simple, Inexpensive, decent sound.

Weakness: Does not go very deep.

This is a simple and inexpensive subwoofer - perfect for a home theater on a very tight budget. I got this recently for free, and so I decided to hook it up to try temporarily. It gives clean bass, however it does go very deep, but for its significantly under-$200 price, it's good enough.

Polk Audio PSW 10

Strengths: Small size - Solid Bass - Five Year Warranty On Speaker

Weakness: No Dedicated LFE Input - Ascetics - Plastic Feet - Three Year Warranty On Amplifier - Warranty Only Applies To Original Purchaser - Price

I picked the black version of this Sub for a very reasonable price of $108.88 from the river online retailer. The first thing I noticed was that while the Sub is black, the "face" is silver. With the cloth grille installed there is a silver line /border that is visible around the front. Seems like a small gripe, but it makes the Sub stand out, something I don't like, with the exception of my...

Great Sub For Your First System

Strengths: Solid Sound Great Price & Quality

Weakness: None For It's Price Range

If sound is important to you, but you do not have thousands to invest in a sound system, then this sub is the perfect choice. It blends well with other Polk speakers, which is the best you can get for the price. If you are getting your first speakers then make this your choice of sub.

A well rounded mid-size sub that performs

Strengths: Versatile, very good sound, exceptional value

Weakness: Not for big rooms

This polk audio sub has good sound at around mid volume for medium to smaller rooms. It's not terribly huge, but will be seen pretty much wherever you place it. Tiny bit boomy for some music. Good for low budget theatre/stereo systems. It can get loud when you're not paying attention.
