USB Speakers great for MacBook and iBookStrengths: No need for batteries or a power cord, I can hear over a fan, easy to use Weakness: Does not amplify greatly, kind of heavy, kind of awkward I enjoy watching programs and DVDs from a MacBook or iBook, but the built in speakers for these computers are so quiet, even with the sound turned all the way up in preferences, that it made it hard to hear with a fan on! Solution - external speakers. With these speakers I don't need batteries nor a power cord. They plug in to the USB port and receive power form the computer. It was easy to go... Advertisement

Sony SRS-T100PC Travel Speaker System
Strengths: Excellent desine and portablility, well engineered for use with a lap top.
Weakness: None, except that the quality of the audio output is only as good as the output lap top or system audio card.
This has to be one of the most creative things to come out on the market. It was just what I was looking for. Digital sound with a USB connection was the selling point for me. But there is only one drawback to this product. That is not of the manufactures own doing. But instead the old saying goes when you talk about computers is "Garbage In, Garbage out!" You can only expect the product audio...
