Budget-friendly, Semi-decent CalculatorStrengths: Decent features, solar powered, good layout Weakness: Nothing advanced - no graphing or matrix solving First off, you can't beat the price. I paid ~$7 for this thing when it was on sale. I mainly purchased it because some college professors won't allow the more advanced TI-84s and TI-89s. For a little more money than the standard scientific calculator, this thing is quite the value. The display makes it easier to read equations and expressions than the more advanced (and more expensive) TI-83 and...

Great CalculatorStrengths: 4-line display, solar/battery powered, easy to use, inexpensive Weakness: none This is a great scientific calculator! I am not allowed to use my Ti-89 Titanium for a lot of my exams so I picked up this calculator for less than $15. The keys are placed in almost exactly the same spot as they were on the TI-30x. However, the Ti-30xs functions like a graphing calculator where one writes out the entire formula and presses enter to get the answer instead of having the calculator...

Amazing Cheap CalculatorStrengths: Price, rich features, solar power, fraction/mixed number conversion Weakness: Slightly complicated manual for advanced functions, no unit conversion This is one great calculator for its price. It can do most scientific and algebraic functions, though it lacks unit conversion, which is a weakness since it is marketed as a school scientific. At the same time it can display proper function notation and convert to and from mixed numbers. The calculator can take roots of any power and has dedicated buttons for squaring a number and raising it to...

Multiline Display / Solar Assist / Entry level...Strengths: Extended battery life with solar assist. Entry level scientific calculator. Good value for price Weakness: Does not support graphing This is a great entry / intermediate level calculator with a mutliline display that supports the display of symbols. Even better, with solar power assist, the battery life is extended. Would be even better value for the money if it had graphing capability, but how much can you expect for such a low price
