Quality PrintsVery easy to use. Quality prints, as good as a photo shop. If you haven't used it in a few days, make sure there is no dust on the paper otherwise you will get blemishes on the photo. There is a paper cover but I have found that some dust still gets underneath. You can either hook your camera up or or remove disk from camera and insert directly into printer. Canon Selphy CP720 Photo PrinterStrengths: Vivid output, easy to set up and use, small footprint, paper stock imprinted as postcard Weakness: output tad dark, can be extraordinarily impacted by dust Darkening compares not to screen but to other photo printer technologies I'm using. This is standard for dye-sub, in my experience. Increasing brightness 25% before sending to printer helps. No recourse, apparently, when printing from camera cards. Canon Selphy CP720 Photo PrinterStrengths: Small form factor, Nice built-in lcd for previewing, photo lab quality prints, Weakness: Paper tray sticks out, paper and ink must be Canon which could be expensive. I got this printer because of its size and photo lab quality prints. Prints produced from this printer suppose to last like 100 years without fading or lost of colors. The printer itself is very compact. Its footprint is about half the size of a regular piece of printing paper. Colors produced by this printer is true and vibrant. CP720 Quick and small but limited features
Strengths: Small Size, Light Weight, Good Quality, No drying time for photos, Good documentation
Weakness: Limited editing on the printer, Limited to use of Canon ink and paper
I picked this printer up to complement my already fantastic inkjet HP 380 photo printer. The quality of the prints on the CP720 are fairly well. There is no drying time involved with the prints from this machine as the technology is very different from inkjet printers. You have to watchout for a few things: 1- Editing on the printer is practically none, you need a PC to fix exposure or sharpness...
