Sony DAV-DX255 Home TheaterStrengths: Great Picture Great Sound Easy to use remote Weakness: Can not play DVD+RW movies The picture and sound on the home theater are top notch, you can not argue that. It seems the dvd player can NOT play DVD+RW movie disks, but can play DVD+RW MP3 disks.

An affordable high quality and high performance HTSStrengths: Digital Cinema Auto Calibration, 1000 Watts, Supports pretty much all Video formats Weakness: It may not play PAL region CDs. This HTS sound clarity is crystal clear. I tried to play various video formats like MP3, CD-R, DVD-R, DVD+R, etc., It played all of them without blinking. I strongly recommend this product.

DAV-DX255 Home Theater SystemStrengths: Easy installation. Compact. Feature Rich. Great Subwoofer Weakness: Doesn't come with a speaker stand. The remote could be better. I purchased this sytem recently, and set it up in around 10 minutes. The quality of sound is great, although the power is not as much as I had hoped for. Overall though I am very happy with the purchase, and for the cost, this unit is a great buy.

Awesome Sony ProductStrengths: - 1000 Watts - Intuitive Design - Sound is great - 5.1/Dolby Weakness: - No speaker stand - Eject button in remote - Doesn't seems to play DVD+RW, need to do more research - Plays Divx movies on non US models only I love sony Audio products. I have never own a Home Theatre System. When I found the good deal on Circuit City I jumped on and really happy with the product. I would highly recommend buying it for the first time users. Just buy speaker stands and you have a home theatre systems which rocks. Enjoy!

Nice system, can't beat the priceStrengths: Compact, easy to setup Weakness: Nothing major Bought this system with a hefty rebate, so definitely was value for money. Setup took about 30 mins. Note that to get use the speakers to their fullest, you need a largish rectangular room with TV / seating on opposite ends. Sound quality is fabulous. The only complaint, if any, is the plasticky finish.

Pretty decent starter system for the price. Would love to be able to play foreign DVDs/VCDs with this. Have to change to a different DVD player to do this. DAV-DX255 Home Theater System!!Strengths: Compact, easy to set up, good product for the price Weakness: Doesn't blow away, no eject button on remote Definetly worth the price, better if there is a rebate to go with it, set up was quick and simple, took only 30 minutes or so. Quality of sound is great. I checked out some DVD movies and they are perfect. Highly recommended ! The subwoofer rocks and is much better than the Kenwood I have. Can't go wrong with Sony. Strengths: Great sound quality. Excellent features.
Weakness: Poor remote. Doesnt get very loud.
Overall this is a great home theater system for the price. It has good sound quality, although it doesnt get as loud as I would like. The low end sound is adequate, and the reproduction is excellent. I would recommend this to anyone.
