The free shipping game is not revealed until AFTER you order your product. Can you say bait & switch. Nice site and good experience until that time. Would be better to upfront regarding the FREE shipping info. |

I kept getting a "Pop Up" that told me that I qualified for free shipping and I followed the instructions and clicked on the "star" just as it was explained. I was charged shipping anyway. That really stinks! It was a big "tease" and a let-down as well. Don't promise something and then jerk it away. That's similar to a "bait-n-switch" scheme. It leaves a bad taste for the shopping experience. Somewhat disgruntled. |

My problem was not with the merchant as it was with the web site. After I confirmed transaction, I see in small print I could have qualified for a 5% discount with code BR 5 Too late to change that. Next I was given a prompt that told me I qualified for free shipping, I KEPT clicking on the tab but to no avail. So I was charged $9.99 shipping. Needless to say, the FIRST and LAST time I will use this site to buy anything. |

I have ordered before and like Red Envelope. One bad thing this time though is that there was a rebate offer for shipping that was stated during the check-out process and stated information would be able to be clicked on after check-out. No such rebate offer was available after check-out. Seems like a scam as the only offer was a $15 off the next purchase if you sign up for something else at a cost. Poor communication on this piece of the rebate thing. |

I ordered ring holders for ech of my three daughters for Mother's Day. Two of them received them on time the other did not. When I inquired, I was told the item was billed but never shipped and was probably out of stock. Although I was never notified of this, I decided to reorder the item but when I did,found that it would not be delivere until 2 days after Mother's Day and this would cost me $15 for delivery. I ordered it anyway since I wanted all my girls to receive the same type of gift, but was not happy with the outcome. I don't think I will be ordering from Red Envelope again. |

I am writing in reference to an item my husband gave me for our anniversary. He purchased the "couple's birthstone ring" with our birthstones (sapphire and aquamarine). I was extremely excited to receive it, as the picture on the website looked beautiful. That picture was a gross misrepresentation. The ring we received had a "sapphire" that was BLACK and an "aquamarine" that was clear. The ring itself was hollowed out so as to use as LITTLE metal as possible. It arrived 2 days later than promised and when we called to check on it, we were told that it had never been submitted to be made let alone shipped. Then it arrived two days later. To add insult to injury, it was non-returnable because of the engraving. This is unfortunate, as the ring looked like something from a gumball machine. It was not properly represented. As it stands now, not only will we never purchase from Red Envelope again, but we will make it a point to tell everyone we know to avoid them. |

Couldn't tell by the shipping calendar exactly what was needed, so I picked the "cheapest"--$4.99. After checking out I find it was an additional shipping charge that I did not need to use, since I just need item by Christmas. Then the "free shipping" is totally misleading. You have to join a rewards program to get the $15.00 on your next order--I don't think so. Totally a misleading experience! Very disappointing! |

I did NOT like the popups that wanted me to enroll in a club type of thing to get $15 back on my shipping. I really feel this is a scam and was annoying! The unwanted scamming will certainly help me decide if I ever want to order from this merchant again. |

I was suppose to receive free shipping but the explanation about how to qualify was not adequate to allow me to receive it. You need to be more specific for those of us who are not computer saavy. This order consequently cost me an additional 6.99 to ship it. |

First time I tried to place the order I was given a 15% discount; then I got kicked out of the site before the order went through. I had to go through the whole process again; then I was only given a 10% discount. I would have just given up on the whole thing, but I wanted to finish my shopping and be done with it. I am not happy with this at all. |

I received an email promotion for free shipping and 10% off the purchase. In order to obtain the free shipping I was redirected to another website which required a membership, and the entry of a credit card (I paid for my purchase with paypal). The Free Standard Shipping cost was removed from the invoice and then added back in. Ridiculous and time-consuming and misleading advertising. I was charged for the shipping. Sours me on Red Envelope. |

I like the products at Red Envelope however, the shipping charge was supposed to be $9 for the day I chose instead it was $12.99. Shipping is ridiculous through Red Envelope. If I were in the US I would shop at a store instead of online. |

This is one of those scam merchants. They promise you free shipping after you have checked out, then they only offer it to you if you buy into their rewards program for so many dollars a month. I gave them a chance and was very disappointed. |
