Pay full list price, wait an hour to get through to customer service, and hope that you don't need to send something back. I ordered a $1600 computer which arrived damaged, I had to send it back and wait for over a month to get my money credited back to my account. Save some money and buy it at a retailer, you'll be happier! Overall Rating

DO NOT ORDER FROM SONY STYLE. I ordered a new Vaio laptop using the 800 line and paid by credit card. I received a confirmation, order number and ship date by email. When the computer never arrived when promised, I checked the web site tracking area only to learn the order was suddenly 'cancelled.' After waiting 30 minutes on hold for CS, I was told the item was, days after ordering, 'now out of stock.' Worst of all, they never contacted me to tell me, I had to investigate for myself.AVOID SONY! Overall Rating

DO NOT BUY DIRECT FROM SONY. I ordered a laptop online. Their site said it would ship in 3 days. 1 week later, it still showed as "in progress". I sat on on hold for 1 hour and 20 minutes. The next day was 50 minutes on hold. Next day 94 minutes on hold. Never got a person. I tried to cancel the order via e-mail and was told to use the 1-800 number. I gave up and ordered it somewhere else. Total time on hold to get status then cancel was 16 hours 20 minutes. Horrible Experience ! Overall Rating

Ordered the Sony ICF-CD513 AM/FM CD, order was shipped the next business day, for overnight shipment. Order was placed via the net. Received it a day late shippers fault, not Sony. I would order from them again, recommended to me by a family member that has ordered in the past with no problems. Overall Rating

A new $3,000 VIAO purchased from Sony.com was delivered DOA. Sony told me the serial number on the VIAO did not exist in the US even though their own packing slip and shipping carton had the same serial number. They messed around for so long the 90 day warranty ran out and they said they no longer had to repair it. The threat of litigation finally got Sony to repair the product. Decent products but there's lot's of decent product out there from better companies than Sony. Overall Rating

Sony has good products but doesn't have a clue how to run a retail business. Ordered product with next day shipping, and a week later find out product is now out of stock. Believe it or not, they told me to cancel my order and re-order when the item was available again. My experience with customer support was similar to the other comments posted here. Overall Rating

I ordered a dvd burner from sony, the site said it was out of stock and would ship on the 14th. i checked back on the 16th and was told it was still out of stock and wouldn't ship until the 24th. i don't know how long they will keep pushing the date back, item was paid for almost a month ago and i have not yet received anything, not even an email telling me the status of my purchase. DO NOT BUY FROM SONY DIRECTLY!! Overall Rating

I recently ordered a Sony Clie T665C. I had no problems placing the order on Sony's easy to work and access web site. The order was processed within a day and I recieved my clie within 4 days after processing. Poor Customer Service..Unable to reach..Received 40"TV and Stand with broken glass shelf was told by driver to call and Sony would take care of it. After holding on for 1 Hr. got disconnected, called back was told I would have to ship the Stand back to the manufacturer. Why can't they ship me a new piece of glass??? Overall Rating

I read all the negative reviews relating to ordering from the Sonystyle Website and wanted to let you know that my experience was positive. The computer I ordered arrived within a few days and in perfect condition. All software was provided. I also sent in the rebate and received it without any difficulties. I used Sony Financing and they provided 6 months financing the same as cash. Sonystyle is now connected with Goldpoints.com so you can earn points as well. I would order from them again. I purchased a KV-36HS500 Wega TV for the same price as local stores. Plus, free inhouse delivery and setup. I also purchased a DVD and VCR for a decent price and free delivery. DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU. I ordered the trv22 mini dv. Through the order process, it said it was in stock. When I got the e-mail confirmation, it was on backorder. I found a lower price elsewhere, so I tried to cancel the order. It took 2 weeks, several chat sessions and phone calls to try and cancel it. They kept telling me that as long as they don't get the camcorder in before the cancellation goes through, then no problem. 2 weeks to cancel an order? Ridiculous. Never again. Overall Rating

There are a couple mistakes I made when I was shopping online this week. I was looking at all the web sites that were selling the Hottest DVD burner on the market. So was looking at SonyStyles web site a saw that they had over night shipping at a good price. To good to be true? Maybe... To make a long story short, I opened it up and saw the the box was not factory sealed. The tape was broken and it might be the wrong burner! Take your chances if you like... Overall Rating

It's been several years now but the receipts and all my paperwork sits here close to me still. Sony still owes me $800 they overcharged me on a custom built laptop - they don't care. After more than 20 hours on hold over several years I have pretty much given up on ever seeing that money. I bought a laptop from them which they said they'd have built for me in 3 weeks. I paid for overnight shipping. Got the item long after the promised date. Took a full year to refund my $50 shipping cost. Overall Rating

About a year ago, they once run a promotion both in the email and regular mail, which I've used in my purchase but they never honored it. I've placed several calls and emails, each person responds "it's been taken care of" yet my statement showed up nothing. Won't trust them again. Overall Rating

I simply don't understand all the negative comments I read about. At least in Europe their system seems to work almost perfectly. I ordered one of their newest high-end laptops (European designation: PC-GRT 796 HP) with an additional mouse and floppy drive. I ordered it on a Thursday afternoon from Belgium at their on-line shop in the Netherlands (price there was more than 200 Euro -even more in USD- cheaper). It was properly delivered to me at my Belgian address on Tuesday! Splendid service. Overall Rating

I bought the EZ Editor DV Kit for my newly bought camcorder. Sony Style had a very good website and also it was "SONY" so i figured it was very safe. Placed an order about 11:30 PM and the next day i got my FedEX tracking number. Very fast service. I would definetly recconmend. Overall Rating

I purchased a Sony Vaio notebook in Sep 2001. Within 3 weeks from purchase my notebook started giving me problems. Started with DVD player, next it gave me problems with additional RAM. I sent it back to Sony technical support 3 times for technical problems and maintenance. Currently it doesn't switch on. I am never going to buy nor suggest buying a Sony computer. Overall Rating

Until the purchase was over, they didn't add the sales tax, so I thought they weren't charging sales tax. When I found out, I had hard time contacting their online live help and then they wouldn't cancel my order. They told me to refuse the shipment and they would credit my card in a few weeks.
