Strengths: Detects X, K, Ka, Laser and POP; VG-2 Immunity (detector detectors); 4 filters with 3 City filters; Allows you to program preferences

Weakness: Doesn't have new Ku band - not much of issue in U.S. at the moment

I've been using this detector for a couple of months now and love it. The last one I had was a Whistler that had many false positives. This one has great filtering and consistently picks up the cops in my area with much better range than my old one. The only thing that puzzles me about it is that the laser detection goes off quite more than my old one when there aren't any cops around. Not sure if you can get false positives with laser. Possibly might be result of increasing popularity of laser jammers on other vehicles. Either way, with laser I'd rather it be overly sensitive since you don't have much time to react with laser and since the detected beam is only inches compared to feet with radar. Overall, I highly reccommend this radar detector if you are going to spend less than $200.

Very good detector

Strengths: Easy to use, easy to mount, accurate

Weakness: power adapter

I purchasd the 945 model first, in the first 2 days I liked it, however, I started noticing some display issues. So I purchased this model again. I found this model is much easier to install and it has the POP mode which is not there in the 945 model.

The only thing is the power supply is has a special phone line type connector. That means you will have to buy it from Beltronics if you need a replacement one, which is about $30. I have a lot of power cords to use with the car cigarette lighter, but can't use them on this 955 model.

Nice Radar Detector

Strengths: It gives fewer false alarms than any other radars I owned

Weakness: It would have been great if it have had a rechargeble batterry. Having wires all over the car is not so confortable.

When there is a radar upfront you need a warning and
this device is doing its job Very well. You know at least two miles before being in the radar sight that a
radar is on your way. There are a lot of radio bands supported. This is giving me safety when I go in another country where I don't know which is the band used by local radars. I highly recommend this radar detector.

Strengths: This is a great product. I is very easy to use, and is highly affective. Great low price!

This is a great radar detector. If you can't afford one of those expensive radar detectives that get installed into your car--this is the radar detector for you. Easy to use and it is highly affective at catching those hiding police cars!

Pretty Sick

Strengths: It covers everything and has the detector detector protection.

Weakness: Costs a little more than the super basic version... but who cares?

Love it!
As a teenaged crazy driver this thing has already saved me 3 times in the last week.
Its easy to use, it mounts great and it detects just about everything. Its supposed to have that "detector detector" protection i think... thats a real plus.
Everyone says Beltronics is the best so I went with it and it hasnt backfired. Im totally satisfied, id recommend one and it has been a great investment.
cant argue with the price or the features.
