Good switch...using with Mac and PC
Strengths: This DOES support multifunction keyboards AND mice with multiple buttons and scroll wheels. I'm using a wireless set made by Logitech, and everything works fine with my Mac and PC via the KVM.
Weakness: I wish it were a little cheaper!
I don't know how the Iogear tech support is, since I have never had to call them. But the reviewer who mentioned problems with this product either has other computer issues that are unrelated to the KVM switch, or perhaps got a lemon KVM. My Logitech mouse/keyboard transmitter is plugged into the keyboard port on the front of the KVM and everything works great, including the volume controls, email shortcut button, etc. I use a 24" Acer LCD with DVI and the picture looks great thru the KVM. I also share an Epson all-in-one printer (CX7800) and it works fine. Occasionally, I will forget I'm printing something and switch to the other computer. That of course disrupts the printing, but I can only blame myself for that. I don't use the KVM for audio, although I believe it is capable. I recommend this product. If it doesn't work after checking your software (and perhaps re-installing drivers for your devices with KVM plugged in) then return it. It works great for me though.
NOTE: I had one weird thing happen, which wasn't the KVM's fault. Occasionally, when I switched from the Mac to the PC, the entire desktop would be "zoomed in." When I move the curser to the edge of the screen, the background moves, so I can only view a portion of the screen at once. The workaround was a restart. I finally did my own digging, and systematically uninstalled some stuff I didn't think I needed. Google Desktop was the culprit. I think it caused a problem with Windows when the computer would wake from Sleep mode. Anyway, problem solved.
