Strengths: Traffic is Free, Quick, Featured Full, Expandable, Thin

Weakness: Cost to upgrade Maps Later on, Cost

I purchased this GPS unit a few weeks ago and it operates pretty well. The unit is fast and picks up traffic quick that's on route. I really don't have any problems with it other than sometimes the search time over broad POI takes some time. If you need a good GPS that has free Traffic that you don't have to pay for, then this is your unit.

gone to the dogs

Strengths: many good features such as blue toothe and where am I.

Weakness: voice tells you to turn in the middle of the turn half the time, tells you to turn then recalculates after the turn, the voice becomes garbeled and you have to shut down and turn back on to fix it.

All in all the unit is good as far as features but garmins quality control has gone to the dogs. Got me lost many times on a 4000 miles trip but it will eventually get you to your destination. Also froze up on me several times. would not recommend this unit to any one until they fix the kinks.

LOVE IT!!

Strengths: Vocal directions great - can keep eyes on the road; bluetooth excellent; never gave wrong directions; great maps and display. Survives the FL sun!

Weakness: Have mounted near radio and suction cup releases once in a while. Don't like on dash - theft, vision and heat. Traffic warning is a little slow.

Have had my unit for about 6 months now and couldn't be happier with! Even the small backroads are on map so nav is easy. Gets me where I'm going and back again - absolutely no major complaints. Will replace with same if it ever dies. Traffic is a bit slow to warn but still works and allows you time to slow down when approaching. Bluetooth works amazingly well - keeps you handsfree; people having problems with speaker my have to change location so speaker is unobstructed. Mapquest directions sometimes lead you in circles - not Nuvi!! Highly recommend!

Love it - but nothing is perfect

Strengths: Very simple to use, lots of POIs, can add anything directly from google

Weakness: Traffic did not work in my area without a fee (there are 2 traffic providers, so look at this feature if it is important to you...), speakerphone is not that great

This is the best GPS I have used. In some ways I like the built-in vehicle GPSs since you dont need to shuffle this thing back and forth to your car and plug it in (due to theft possibility), but it is nice to be able to program your destinations on your couch before you go out. Despite shortcomings, Nuve 265wt is highly recommended.

great product

Strengths: I find this product to be EXTREMELY HELPFUL, ESPECIALLY since I have a terrible sense of direction.

Weakness: I haven't experienced any problems with this.

I rec'd this as a gift after traveling in the opposite direction and traveling approximately 200 miles out of my way. My son (who was stuck in the back of my seven passenger van) kept telling me I was going the wrong way. So since I didn't listen to him, he bought me this product for christmas and told me I had no excuses anymore..........p.s. My granddaughter (age 6) loves it also

nuvi 265WT

Strengths: NAVTEQ Traffic Easy GUI

Weakness: Speaker is crap

Hands free calling has been legislated and it is important that the Bluetooth capability be functional. The speaker distorts voices so badly they are hard to understand.
No complaints on the other end of the line so the microphone must be OK.
The NAVTEQ traffic control works well and almost justifies owning this device. Albeit, I will return for another GPS with similar features that I can understand when it speaks --.

Garmin 265WT GPS

Strengths: Size (Shape) pictures, Where AM I, Waypoints

Weakness: Battery Life 2 hours stinks The speaker is awful. Very poor quality. Sounds very tinny. Speaker is so bad that it makes the blue tooth almost not useable.

Overall - It is a good buy. The shape is especially nice. It will fit in your shirt pocket. The Where to is an excellent feature as is the Waypoint feature.

Don't buy if you're looking to add more maps

Strengths: Works OK for N.America

Weakness: Takes hours to add maps for other continents

Bought this unit for N.America and Europe travel. Works OK in N. America. Bought the Euro maps ($99 more) but can't load them onto the unit. Follow the instructions but nothing happens. Dialog says it's successful but there are no Euro maps on my Garmin. Tech support useless.... ask a bunch of questions but no solution. Wasted my $99. Maybe TOMTOM is better.

GREAT!!!!!!!!!

Strengths: SIZE, EASY TO USE, LARGE POI DATABASE, VERY ACCURATE, RECALCULATES IMMEDIATELY, LOVE THE BLUETOOTH, PRICE!!!

Weakness: SOME POI'S THAT SHOULD BE THERE, AREN'T. SOME BEING POLICE STATIONS. MANUEL NOT VERY INFORMATIVE. DOES NOT FIND HOUSE NUMBERS ON COUNTY ROADS. TRAFFIC USELESS IN MY AREA.

I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THIS UNIT. MAPS ARE EXCELLENT. I HAVE RECEIVED NO WRONG INFORMATION WITH THIS GPS. THE SPEECH IS VERY CLEAR. THE BLUETOOTH WORKS EXCELLENT. SOME MAY HAVE DIFFICULTY WITH A FEW

garmin nuvi265wt

Strengths: large screen .slim design

Weakness: maps have some wrong data and many places are not in the program.and it stopped talking after 1 week(not the settings)

I owned a streetpilot c330 prior and that was a great unit so i thought i'd upgrade to a NUVI 265 WT .I would like the unit if the maps were as good as the c330 which had never been updated even.the traffic thing might be a good thing but to test it i drove through some high traffic areas to test it and it said there was heavy traffic where there was none.and heavy barely rolling traffic with no indication.quite dissatisfied...

A GPS Loaded With Features

Strengths: Great LCD display, Bluetooth, traffic receiver included

Weakness: Map software needs to be updated

The Garmin nüvi 265WT is your basic GPS but loaded with features that are normally found in more expensive units.

It works great right out of the box. On its main display, you can view your vehicle's speed, map of where you're going, arrival time, next turn, etc.

The included bluetooth and traffic receiver are valuable add-ons that are costly when added to a unit. The traffic receiver is usually around $100 just for this one option!

Only complaint with the unit is its mapping software update. It needs to be more current. For example, I found several movie theaters that closed 2 years earlier that are still listed as points of interest. Of course, if you just have to have the latest map, Garmin can accommodate you for the rip off price of $100.

The nüvi 265WT is a real bargain in a GPS. Sure, you can buy a GPS for less money, but not with all the bells and whistles found in this one!
