sounds great doesnt work with new Nano

Weakness: doesnt charge new Nano,

I've had this dock for 6 months and it sound great, just got new Nano's for the kids and found out the Bose doesn't charge them. This is unacceptable, paid almost $300.00 for it, now its obsolete? I have been using Bose stuff since college (301) have Bose speakers inside and outside my house, but very unhappy with this.

Fantabulous

Received as a birthday gift from my husband, and although we have multiple stereos and computers with high quality speakers to plug our iPods into, I prefer this Bose above all the others.

These products were made for each other

Strengths: Compact footprint, great bass response, remote control and beautiful cabinet

Weakness: Remote control does not provide full control, just power, volume, play/pause and fwd/reverse. Pricey

I had the opportunity to try one of these units in a hotel I stayed at and was shocked to hear bass in songs that I didn't even know existed! For such a small cabinet, it does a wonderful job of covering the entire range of the music.

I love the portability of the unit as I can take it outside and enjoy a wonderful sound system on my patio with a power hookup (the portable version of this unit runs on battery).

The fit and finish is excellent and it makes a very nice piece to look at in any room.

The unit is pricey but at the online vendor I used, I was able to get a carrying case along with this item for a final price of $270 which was a great deal in my option.

Bose Sounddock

Strengths: Best looking iPod speaker system around. Great overall sound, slightly weak bass.

Weakness: No adapter for latest generation of iPod nano. Must contact Apple directly for universal adapter.

The nano adapter that comes with the unit does not work with the latest nano model. Pretty unbelievable considering that Bose makes this unit just for Apple products. Very disappointing that you have to go elsewhere to obtain the working adapter. However, they do send it out for free. Other than that, the unit is great.

Excellent Ipod accessory!

Strengths: Good sound quality. Excellent design/color.

Weakness: Bass sound could be a little stronger.

I believe Bose has done a great job in the Bose Soundock. The quality of the sound is great. There's a good balance between the bass and treble. The only downside is the bass could just be a tad bit stronger. The remote control works just as it should. Overall, a good addition to the Ipod collection.

Great !

Strengths: Wonderful sound, especially considered it's coming from something so small. And very nice design.

Weakness: It would have been nice to have other inputs, in case you want to attach it to something else.

I read some negative reviews about it. I don't see the reason. It's true it is a bit expensive, but it's really worth it and it's something that will not let you down.

SoundDock iPod Digital Music System Black

Strengths: awesome sound

Weakness: a bit pricey

The sound was as expected..AWESOME. Having a remote control makes it so much easier to use the iPod, especially from across the room. The system is small, yet the sound is BIG! One feature that puts Bose way ahead of the rest is the clarity of the sound, whether you have it cranked up, or very soft, the sound is crystal clear. Bose is a bit pricey, but well worth the money spent.

Compact Sound Machine

Strengths: quality of sound,Brand Name

Weakness: Expensive,It cannot be used for anything except for Ipod

I really love my new sounddock.The quality of sound is excellent.The sunddock is easy to carry.It can be used with 110v and also 220v.It is good for parties.The only negative factor is no input except for ipod.

Great sound

Strengths: Clear sound

Weakness: difficult to get iPod onto the connection

All in all there are not too many weaknesses. some have complained that when you have a skin or case on your iPod touch you will not be able to connect your iPod. However, if you take out the plastic tray (that comes with your iPod--mine was white--and with the dock system--it is black) in the dock and just leave it empty you can fit the iPod and case without any problems.
I checked out other systems and this was the best quality of sound. plus you can use it as an aux for TV or your computer and get some great sound for your movies.
