Strengths: Small, cordless, simple, versatile. Includes very nice tool bag and a good supply of "starter" bits.
Weakness: Only two speeds. The speed selection switch is cheap quality and it makes turning the tool off require some finesse.
This Dremel 7.2V cordless rotary tool is relatively inexpensive and is a good choice for the first time user. The included battery charger is compact and adequate. I was pleased with the quality of the included tool bag. It also has many basic bits for grinding, sanding, polishing, etc. and a small plastic box to organize the bits.
There are two speeds on the tool. They are adequate for most routine jobs. The OFF position is centered between the LOW and HIGH switch positions. The switch is so cheap that it is hard to turn OFF. The tool will be set at LOW speed and when I slide the switch toward the OFF position, it is easy to overshoot and send the tool to its HIGH speed setting. It is a minor flaw.
Good Value Tool for the Hobbyist

Overall, I am happy with the choice of this tool.
