JVC RX-D302B ReceiverStrengths: Sound, feature, slim design Weakness: No front input This receiver is loaded with features. It is especially good for those who like to use preset setting and do not want to bother with setting headache. All the surround sound mode, Digital type, etc., can be set to "Auto." This feature is good when you play different DVD's with different Surround and ProLogic setting. Its design is so slim that you would not believe it is so feature loaded. 80% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

There's a reason why it's so cheap
Strengths: Good clean sound.
Weakness: Overheats, need an additional fan to cool down unit. The unit's own fan is loud and creats a very unpleasant sound.
I bought this particular unit because it was the cheapest 7.1 amp I could afford. After using it for the first time I thought the unit was great initially. However after an hour into the movie the unit started making weird sound including a "screeching sound". When I touched the top of the amp it was extremely hot. I noted that JVC amp online reviews typically talks about the units overheat and it's true. I kept the unit but now I have a fan blowing at it to keep it cool.
