Skt 939, Athlon 64 3500+

Strengths: Can use Dual Channel RAM, more cache when compared to Sempron.

Weakness: Not a spring chicken anymore, other new processors are faster.

Socket 939 allows for Dual Channel, and Athlon 64 has more cache than Sempron. When upgrading from a socket 754 Sempron as I have, this processor removes some major bottlenecks that can rob the computer of its potential. I have also heard this is good for overclocking though I have not tried it myself.
