good stuff cheap

Strengths: quality media, cheap price(for me)

was able to get it for $.53 after $3coupon from staples since it was on clearance for $3.50

as with all verbatim media, it gives you good quality burns

it does take forever to burn lightscribe label
there's no color for lightscribe either
but that's not the disc's flaw but the technololgy's flaw

Strengths: named brand

Weakness: should came with jewel cases

buy this if you can get a good price for them,named brand dvds plus you can burn label on the dvd I pay a good price for them,and if you can find a dvd burner that can support them

Very good DVD+R media

Strengths: Name brand, Lightscribe, good speed, price

Weakness: None

This is the first batch of LightScribe DVD media that I have purchased since I got a LightScribe burner a few months earlier. I bought the spindle when it was on sale so that price is very good. The brand lives with its reputation. I have burned a few and no bad disc. 8X speed is not bad and good for my burner. I would buy it again.

One of the most amazing products ever invented!

Strengths: The Lightscribe discs' slogan pretty much says it all.. Burn, Flip, Burn!

Weakness: None

You don't have to worry about the messy setup of sticker labels and of course, the high prices of ink or toner for your printer! All you need is a lightscribe-capable drive and the you're ready to go! Plus, a lightscribe drive is much cheaper than the tons of ink or toner, and sticker labels that you would purchase to be able to produce a professional quality CD or DVD label.

Verbatim, as we all know, is a leader in storage media. So, it just goes to show that Verbatim Lightscribe products are the best and are of high-quality.

Excellent DVD version 1.2 media

Strengths: Reliable burn quality and top motch dyes

Weakness: none

I just got a Samsung SH-S162S Lightscribe drive and this media to do a test run. I've used Verbatim media exclusively in the past and this media retains the same quality that I have become accustomed to. The drive and the media produced an excellent label and was great fun. The only weak link was the klutzy Nero design software.

Good Media

Strengths: Quality media, no burn failure yet, lightscribe images are good, Compatible with all of our DVD players, including PC's

Weakness: Price

The media quality is excellent, no burn failure so far. Used the media to make a playable DVD presentation for my cousin's wedding, and the burned image on the DVD gives them a nice keepsake. Lightscribe image was of very high quality.

The disks are fairly expensive. $15.99 at Best Buy's standard retail price. Would use only for special occasions.

The media quality is excellent, no burn failure so far. Using the quality media for storing pictures are better as they tend to stay stable over time.


Lightscribe images are nice and smearproof and also looks more resistant to fading. I hope they will come with color technology soon.

Strengths: Brand

Burned 5 discs so far at 8x without any problem. The lightscribe feature look amazing. The discs are expensive as expected with any new technology. I can not recommend this brand enough.

best DVD media for your Data/Video collection

Strengths: Dark image

Weakness: Slow

My first lightscribe DVD. Images are in grey tones. Bought a lightscribe drive to take advantage of the coating on the label side of the disc. Impressive result! Slow to burn though. Wish it was 8X or 16X.

Stellar compatibility and performance.

Strengths: Ultra fast 4x DL speed Compatible with all 6 of our DVD players (yes even the cheapies)

Weakness: DL media as a whole is still expensive, but there are no weaknesses that I can think of relative to other DL media.

These discs burned ultra fast. Disk analysis showed very high quality burns were possible compared to my (even more expensive) other media. I would reccommend this in a hearbeat to anyone that needs DL backups. These are GREAT for making FULL backups of your DL disks!

Good media, lightscribe

Strengths: they are verbatim, lightscribe, 8x

Weakness: price

They are great media. Verbatim makes some of the best. The lightscribe feature is very nice as well. They burn fine at 8x, no coasters so far. The only downside is price. If you can get a good deal on these, definitly pick them up for "special" burns.
