decent card

Strengths: decent performance, perfect for daily use

Weakness: nothing so far

This is a decent video card, perfectly fit you on regular non-gaming use. Besides, you might be able to overclock it to achieve higher performance. In particular, I got it for only $70 after rebate, for such price you cannot go wrong.

Amazing Card

Strengths: Fast 256bit Memory, Overclocks Well On stock cooler, Incredible Price/Performance, Lifetime Warrenty

Weakness: Only DDR And not GDDR3, only 128MB of onboard ram, ATI Drivers are not as good as Nvidias

I bought this card and I installed it. This card blew away my expectations! I played Battlefield 2, with not one glitch, Halflife 2, Doom 3, all at full detail and this card took care of them. Played out better then my XFX 6600GT with a few more FPS. Then I overclocked this puppy to PRO speeds on stock cooler! Not a single artifact! (Mem @ 900, Core @ 475) The only difference between a pro and this is another 128MB of ram, and this does not have GDDR3. Also, some Pros have 16 pipes, this only has 12. But for 1/2 to 1/3 the price, who can complain!!! this card is amazing and i will be keeping it in my machine and selling my XFX 6600gt now! 8 out of 10

XTASY RADEON X800

Strengths: DirectX 9 support. HDTV. Quiet fan

Weakness: Not so fast with newer games such as Battlefield

I ran this card with all the good old games and they are smooth as butter 40-60 FPS. The newer games albeit go well are a bit slower FPS at about 20-35 for BF2. I have no problem with a 350W power supply. It's a good deal w/rebate from a major computer company.

a video card excellent for game lovers

Strengths: FAST! HDTV output.

Weakness: None

This video card is installed on my Compaq 1710 desktop. I primarily use this computer as a media center. Now with this video card, it suddenly become a fantastic video game machine. Radeon X800 is sufficient for almost every game nowadays. Plus, this card has HDTV ouput which makes the connection between my computer and a regular projection HDTV very easy. In all, this is a great video card for the gamers who has a limited budget.

Nice card

Strengths: Run perfect with 3-D games

Weakness: Not 256MB

basically it's good enough to play any high vedio demanding games to date, but you have set it at it's maximum level. That is all I can say now.

XTASY Radeon X800

Strengths: Good price. Powerful card

Weakness: Over head and random reboot

I had a 9800PRO and decided to upgrade to this PCI-E. Installation is pretty easy. Download the latest Catalyst and everything works fine. However gaming experience is less than I expected. If I turn everything to max, I get reboot problem. But for $70, it's really good value.

Great card for upgraders!

Strengths: Good price and performance

Weakness: only 128 mB

I upgraded my Geforce 6600 card to be this one. It's cheap with rebate. My system won't lag any more when browsing. Pretty good at handling common games, but 128 MB seems to be a little bit small for future use.

Very Good Card

Strengths: Solid performance for daily use

Weakness: Not really can think any

This is a solid PCIE card with reasonable price. Also, with $75 rebate, I believe it is the best deal now. For a serious gamer, you can go for something else, for average user and average gamer, this is more than enough.

great card for pc upgrading

Strengths: cheap, powerful

Weakness: fan is a bit noise.

Recently upgraded my systemboard to ASUS A8N-E which fully supports PIC-E graphic card, so I bought this card. I am not really gaming person, but it does make me feel very happy when I play car racing games. Much better than my old FX5200. Very nice design, ans supports DVI (well, good reason to spend $$ on my next LCD monitor.)

XTASY Radeon X800 Video Card

Strengths: low price, easy overclocks on stock cooler

I use this card to replace the on board video on the compaq desktop, althought the heatsink on this card is small, I am able to Overclocking to (440/420) from the stock config (390/350) without any problem.

Awesome card if you can get it for $75 or less

Strengths: Lifetime warranty. Cheap price.

Weakness: DDR instead of GDDR3 memory. Card runs hot.

The card is awesome in terms of the power you get for your buck. Its an impressive cheap little card thats even better than a 6600GT. However, the heatsink and fan combo on the card looks cheap and it only performs fairly decent. The card runs moderatly warm so you should use another heatsink if you can find one.

Good card, for a good price

Strengths: price I/Os

Weakness: very small heatsink PCI-E still not very prevalent

The card is solid. The specs should speak for themselves, and I am not going to go into a frame per second comparison like some people. This card works well for anything you could throw at it. Part of this is the fact that the card is in the upper ranks of video cards at the moment. The other part of this is actually due to the video game industry making more ports from consoles and less computer based games. Console games are always inferior in terms of controls, complexity, and graphics.

The one negative that I see on this card is that the heatsink is rather small for a graphics card these days. Many graphics cards take up multiple slots because the heatsink is so big. I have not heard of this card overheating from anyone else, but the heatsink is really rather puny compared to other cards on teh market. It also dumps the heat right back into the case like the old style cards. Not optimal. Might want to invest in a non-stock heatsink / fan unit.

This is a nice mid-level card that has strong performance for its price, and is excellent for use on a home or office machine. it has dual video connectors so it can drive 2 monitors together, and it also has component video outputs for connection to a TV. overall its an excellent card for everyday use at a great price.

Good card, but not just what expected.

Strengths: excellent FPS

Weakness: loud fan. 3d mark score

Powerfull card for under $100 dollars. Can't find a card this powerfull for this price at any retail store, would have to go online top get it this cheap. Definate improvement over ATI Radeon 9200 128. Can now run HL 2, Quake 4 and many other games with High settings. Perfect Came with a rebate too, but you sometimes the rebates don't come.

Awesome card

Strengths: Easy to install + Easy to load drivers

Weakness: Not found any yet, only had a week.

Plays every Game I own. Increased my 3dMark03 score from 4665 (Radeon 9600 Pro 256MB) to a 10600.
Coupled with the AMD64 my computer flies!
Would recommend it to anyone with a PCI-express slot in their rig.

Great Card

Strengths: Good value Easy installation Good performance

Weakness: None

Oujt of the box, this card was extremely easy to install. After downloading the latest drivers from ATI, the card was ready to rock. Most the latest games like BF2 and Doom run flawlessly. For the $118 I paid, this is a great card! I can see no flaws with this wonderful product.

Fast card for a great price

Strengths: Fast!

Weakness: too loud

For the price around $100, the performance is really good. I got 4035 on 3DMark 2005.

The fan is too loud for me. Even when you are not using the GPU, the fan is spinning quite fast and is too loud.

XTASY Radeon X800 Video Card

Strengths: Comes with DVI Affordable

Weakness: only 12 pipelines for those who are into numbers

What attracted me to this card was because dell was offering a killer deal on the card at the time to knock the price from basically 140 to 65. What a great card. The graphics are absolutely stunning. I can see my own reflection in the water (in games i play) or watch the sun beam across the grass. I do notice that the game lags just a bit when i enter high population areas. I do not know if this is simply because there are too many sprites on the screen or because the server itself is lagging. In anycase, an incredible bang for the buck.

Fast 256bit Memory,Excellent Price/Performance

This video card is inexpensive, I got a deal at dell and it only cost me about $60 after rebate. It can even play most high vedio demanding games. Having DVI and Svideo/Composite port. People said it is an overclocking killer but I have not tried that yet.Very satisfied, highly recommend!

A powerful affordable PCI-E graphics card

Strengths: cheap 60 FPS in Doom 3 55 FPS in Halo

Weakness: Don't expect Battlefield 2 to run any faster that 25-30 FPS with AA/Af at 1024x768. The same goes for FEAR.

As you can see, I have purchased this card much later than everyone else who has reviewed the card here. this card runs Half-Life 2 on everything on max, save filtering and anti-aliasing and those are still on the higher settings. Runs FEAR on moderately high settings (just two below max) and FEAR is a video card resource hog. And, if it can run these games at such high settings, it will run any other game beautifully as well. SO, this card works wonderfully for about half the price of the highest end cards

The perfect graphics card for my needs.

Strengths: - Out-of-the-box performer - 20% improvement in performance through overclocking - Great price/performance ratio

Weakness: - Noisy

I bought this card on the cheap through Dell. I am not a gamer but my son is. My PC originally came with an X600 256mb card from Dell. Even overclocked it was an underachiever. My expectations were high for better performance from this card and it didn't disappoint. Stock it performed as well as I expected it to overclocked! Further testing produced a substantial measured improvement via 3DMARK05 benchmarking. Final best score was 4611!!! The downside of all this overclocking was the need to bump the fan speeds up and it is quite noticeable. I just turn the speakers up

Very nice card

Strengths: amazing price, good performance

Weakness: only 128mb on-board DDR memory

I got this card from dell for upgrade. It works very well in my dell 9100. The price is very good after rebate. For mid-level graphic card, I cannot expect more from this card. It has everything I wanted, and very good performance in most
popular video game. Overall, it is a very nice card for you if you only have tough budget and wanna get a decent gaming card.

Decent mid-level video card!

Strengths: PCI-E interface, 12 pipeline and 128M. Inexpensive. Svideo/Composite connections. Can easily be overclocked using software from ATI.

Weakness: Noisy and hot

This video card is inexpensive and can even play most high vedio demanding games. Having DVI and Svideo/Composite connections make it quite versatile. It can be overclocked using office ATI software. For its price, this makes a great mid-level video card.

Great for the price

Strengths: Cheap, thanks to the rebate

Weakness: Doesn't really stack up to some other cards like X850 or even the 256 Mb version

If you are on a budget and need a good gaming card, look no further. This is cheap and definitely value for money. The pipes cannot be unlocked so those who are looking to soup it up, look elsewhere.

Best card for the price!

Strengths: good price; handle most of 3-D games without any problem

Weakness: Memory is not DDR3 and only 128MB

Bought this card from dell with $75 rebate. Amazing picture quality on my 24 Dell LCD. Very solid performance for lastest 3-D games. I wish it would have 256MB instead 128MB, but for daily use, 128MB is more than enough.

Good video output, was best deal for x800

Strengths: Fantastic cost/benefit ratio. Running CoD2, Fear, Quake4, SC:Chaos Theory in 1024 medium details without problem!!!Memory speed is rated at 2.86ns = 350MHz = 700MHz effective for DDR memory

Weakness: GDDR1 instead GDDR3 and no ViVo support

Comes with VGA, DVI-I, and Svideo/Composite connections. Runs the ATi Radeon universal driver no sweat. Good looking video quality

Best deal I could find for an x800 PCIE x16 card. Great looking board, very quiet fan!

Excellet card

Strengths: good price, nice performance

Weakness: no

You can't beat the price with such nice card. Even though this is not a 256bit card, still when playing 3D games, like Harry Potter, Checken little, etc, it performs excellent.
