Very difficult to work with

Strengths: Eventually fixed TV

Weakness: , Took 4 months from original contact to receiving TV back from New Jersey - lots of steps in the process, "local"authroized repair center completely unhelpful - choose a different warranty company!!

Mack warranty not user friendly

Strengths: none

Weakness: Too complicated

Don't get this warranty. They make you jump through a lot of hoops. You have to send them a lot of correspondence and fill out a lot of paperwork. Then they still send you to the manufacturer to find their local service center to get estimates and send that to them. Just use the extended warranty provided by american express or visa. They just deal with cash and it's a lot simpler.

Don't Buy if you expect support

Strengths: Looks like a deal when buying electronics

Weakness: Poor support, painfully slow to get product fixed

I have been trying to get my defective Samsung LCD TV fixed for 2 months now and Mack is still dragging their feet on this. Seems they just don't have the resources to deal with problems. The story goes like this.... LCD TV developed vertical lines on left side of screen so I called Mack with my 3 yr warranty info and started the run around. First after they verify warranty and make sure Samsung can't be responsible they have you contact a authorized Samsung dealer to have the TV checked out. So far so good... The Local tech comes out and runs a few diagnostics and says it looks like a bad panel and he takes TV back to shop to run more tests. Week later local tech says he sent Mack pictures of the lines on the screen to prove problem but they wanted to check it out for themselves. Mack said they would arrange for pickup of TV by their shipping company (8/31/2009). On 9/14/2009 called Mack and they did not know where TV was even though the local service tech said the shipping co had picked it up 9/8/2009. Mack claimed the shipping co has to build a custom box for it so that could take some time. Anyway they finally got the TV and after a week of calling them they said the TV was not worth fixing. The offered a new model with similar features or cash so after researching a bit I chose the cash but I have not been able to get them to respond since the offer. I called today 10/5/2009 and they said I should have received a letter with this offer which I need to sign before I get a check. The only one that can authorize this is not in and I have left him many voicemails with no response. Still Waiting for a letter, Callback and hope to get a check before Black Friday so I can finally get a new TV for the hole on my wall!!! DO NOT BUY MACK

PLEASE make sure you don't do what I did and go for the cheapest price on extended warranty. MACK is terrible. I am now looking at my options for my new TV and will focus on user reviews and make sure I can get local service. Best Buy may be my only option even though they are more expensive.

Waste of time and money!

Strengths: None that I have seen or heard

Weakness: People, ethics and integrity

Do not buy an extended warranty from Mack Camera. They will use any and all excuses to not pay a claim. I have a Sharp Aquos 42" LCD, with severe banding issues. They told me it was a "burn-in" and not coverred. This, however, was after one of their recommended service centers said it was a bad panel, and they tried other fixes to cure the problem. It was only after they couldn't fix the problem did it become a burn-in and not covered.
