R30 Floor Standing Speakers

Strengths: Good price at $80 a pair, Great sound

Weakness: bass is a little weak

Bought them from Fry's at $80 a pair to be used as main speaks for my home theater setup. They sound pretty good for the size. Recommend break-in for at least 40 hours.

Polk R30 Speakers

Strengths: Great sound, price, nice design

Weakness: None

These speakers cannot be beat for the price when they go on sale at Outpost. Great for a medium sized room. Highs and mids are very good, bass is decent. Very sleek design.

Polk Audio R30 Loudspeaker

Strengths: Very good, good and clear sound. Good looks (cherry finish) and compact in size. Very good price.

Weakness: None.

I use the R30 as front speakers in a small area (16ft x 12ft) with a small sub-woofer and center speaker. It fits all my needs, clear sound, and reasonable bass for musical materials. The cherry finish in fact looks great flanking a Sony 55-inch LCD projection TV, and the color blend to the wood floor well. No complaints but it may not be sufficient for a larger room.

Strengths: Price. Quality. Looks.

Excellent speakers for the money. These are floor standing speakers at the price of bookshelf speakers!! Sound quality is excellent for a mid size room. build quality is excellent and they look nice too. come in cherry or black. highly recommended.

Excellent set of speakers

Strengths: Sound Quality, Looks, Bass

Weakness: none for the price

These are great speakers for $100 a pair. The sound quality is really good with absolutely no distortion and the built quality is great too.

While R30's might not beat those 2K systems, they are a perfect choise for small/middle sized rooms.

Highly recommended.

Polk R30 Speakers

Strengths: Great Looks, solid feel and sound

We've been slowly getting into better speakers for the past 2 years after our big tv purchase. We started with the home theater set in a box which of course is a big disappointment. We moved on to some Athena point 5 speakers and they were very clear and crisp but seem to miss the deeper sounds we wanted without having to spend a ton an expensive sub. There are plenty of better sounding speakers I'm sure but for $80 a pair they are a steal. I highly recommend them to anyone on the fence.

Greatest value in speaker

Strengths: awesome sound and styling

Weakness: none

I was hesitant to order these speakers based on some old reviews in audioreviews.com but low price at Outpost helped me to pull the trigger. These speakers are absolutely great for the price I had paid. Higs and midrange are terrific, bass is very controlled. No where close to boomy but very accurate. In some cases it may be essential to add some extra bass and I usually do it with the help of a graphic equalizer. Overall, I am very happy!

Excellent Spekers at Budget Price!

Strengths: Excellent sound quality, acceptable bass level, sleek space saving design

Weakness: None so far

These are an excellent pair of budget speakers. Get these when they are on sale. I got them for $80 a pair from Outpost.com.
I think it's worht the money spent for a budget home theater system. Good for a medium to large size space. Definitely recommend buying at the 'sale' price only!

Great Bang for the Buck

I was blown away with their performance. Not only do they look good, they sound beautiful!!! Bass is quite decent, despite having another Polk sub to do most of that work, distortionless and exceptionally bright on highs. Overall, I would have to say Polk did their homework when producing these and would highly recommend them to anyone thinking about replacing their older sets or getting new ones. I do not believe that you would be disppointed in purchasing these for your your needs. They are prefect for small apartments and college dorms.

Good Speaker

I purchased 2 R30 as the surround sound speak to my R50 speakers at FRY's. The price is so good and it matched with the R50 style, very happy about it
