Good bracket with flawsStrengths: Light, durable, very well-made Weakness: Expensive accessories; Shutter button on the grip not accessable when using the vertical group; Anti-twist plate blocks battery door. I have used my Pro-T for a few weeks. The bracket is light, durable and very well made. Flash shots look better, no red-eye. Overall, very good. However, there are a few things you need to consider before buying this bracket: Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Stroboframe Bracket - Pro-TStrengths: Solid Weakness: Shift in camera's center of gravity Pro-T is solidily built. However, the bracket changes the camera's center of gravity. This has made the camera much more difficult to hold. It will probably take some time before getting use to it. This is probably true for all flash brackets. Optional anti-twist plate for camera body is highly recommend. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Stroboframe Bracket - Pro-T
Strengths: Much easier to use than the Flipflash
Weakness: Parts are out of sight!!
This is actually my 2nd Pro T. The first one had a base that couldn't be used with a Canon base. I tried to purchase a new base plate, but Tiffen (which owns Stroboframe) wanted $60.00 for it!!! Talk about a rip-off. I figured I would just buy the whole unit for $100.00

Hi!
I just bought a Stroboframe Pro-T for my wife's Canon 30D and am struggling with how to attach it to the camera. I did buy the Tiffen recommended anti-twist plate (300-SLR), but this does not appear to fit properly on the camera. Does the plate go with the curve up to the front under the camera? In that case, the little screw should apparently go through the anti-twist plate into the Stroboframe base plate. However, the two pins don't fit in any of the holes! If I take the anti-twist plate, and hold it UNDER the stroboframe baseplate, the pins align with two holes, which makes me wonder if the Base plate is mounted wrong way around? Very odd!
By the way, I used to play with Lego when I was little, and am pretty good with mechanical thinks like small engines, but this is just too much!
Any help is greatly appreciated. Feel free to send me a picture of your (successful setup).
