SONY 46" 40VE5
Strengths: It has an outstanding image-no matter what the angle viewed. The sound very good with rich lows and piercing highs.
Weakness: I have an analog amplifier and the volume does not corespond to the volume of the television. Distinct electrical smell lasts about a week. A click/snap sound occasionally during channel switching
I'm replacing a Mitsubishi that lasted 15 years. I don't expect ANY LCD to last that long. I have heard horror stories about replacing LED lamp after 2 years. I like the power 'total' off switch-no power consumption at all when set is off.
