If you use Skype, buy this

Strengths: small cheap works

Weakness: only works with Skype maybe? software a little picky

This is definitely the way to go if you have an existing land line and want to add skype capability -- especially if you want the convenience of a cordless phone. It integrates very well and has been problem-free. Note that you might not be able to use it on any service OTHER than Skype, so be careful.

Strengths: Good Looking & Easy to set it up

Weakness: None

I was using that internet phone wizard to chat with my family for a while. I feel that it was very clear on both
side and very stable. I was very happy to use it daily. It is good product to buy for every one . If you use skype like me , you will feel happy to own it.

Works Great

Strengths: -easy to use -good audio quality

Worked well in a meeting between US & EU using Skype. Our company will use this in many other meetings. I may even purchase one for home. Will recommend it to anyone using Skype.

VoSky

Strengths: None

Weakness: This unit's software is no longer compatible with Skype versions above 3.2. Tried the supplied software v2.0 and downloaded the latest software v2.1 to no avail.

VoSky's technical support is worthless and provided no help in resolving the issue. They further blame Skype for changing their software.
This problem is documented on various web sites if you do a search.

Strengths: works with skype as it said it would.

Weakness: Need to use speed dial or else u cannot put the whole numbers in u want to call.

More phone ports would be nice. Volume is kinda of low but even i maxed it out. dont know if it is the phone or the adapter. kinda laggy but that might be from skype. overall, satify with the price and quality so far.

Strengths: Easy to setup and install.

Weakness: None.

I am using this device since almost 3 months now and it works great. It was very easy to setup and install. I have used it only with Skype altohugh manual mentions that it can be used with other voice messaging service too. I also didn't get chance to see how it co-works with home phone since I do not have one. Overall the quality is very good and I haven't found any problem with it so far. Please keep in mind that the voice quality also depends on the phone you use I was usually first my old Cordless and quality was not that good but since I switched to new phone the quality is very fine. I will highly recommend that if you are looking for an alternate solution for skype.

Weakness: No caller ID; Direct dial from telephone extensions must be loaded into memory

The Actiontec Electronics USB Internet Phone Wizard performs just as advertised. It is easy to setup and connect. It works seamlessly with Skype. Call quality is excellent regardless of source (landline or internet). Switching between landline connections and the internet is also as simple as pushing a button. Two areas which could be improved include one, the addition of a caller ID broadcast capability (such would be applicable to conventional phones which already have caller ID capability) and two, the ability direct dial via the internet without have to load contacts phone numbers into the extension phone's memory.
