Worst Ice Maker available

Strengths: Good use of space. Lots of interior lighting.

Weakness: The Ice Maker! Lamps are pretty hard to change.

The 'Space Saver' Ice Maker in the door is a great feature as the space normally taken over by a conventional ice maker is usable in this design. Unfortunately, the ice maker won't shut off when the bin is full; it just keeps making ice. With no place to go, the filler ends up dumping water into the mechanism and it freezes.

LG's solution? Unplug the refrigerator and leave the doors open for 24-hours whenever the ice maker freezes up.
