High quality receiver at an affordable price
Strengths: GUI menu, lots of ports
Weakness: none
I was debating whether to purchase a home theatre package or but separate components. When I looked I found most of the packages were quite limited in functionality or offered no room to expand, so I looked for a separate receiver. This unit was perfect, providing very high-quality features liek full HDMI, upscaling, lots of ports, etc. at a non-astronomical price. I was looking at the comparable Onkyo 606, but the GUI menu on this unit pushed me in this direction, and that turns out to be a great feature.
