Gigifast 8-port

Strengths: Simple and does the job, auto sensing ports for uplink-ing

Weakness: The plastic body makes it seem fragile, the led lights in front are very small and difficult to see clearly

The version I received is white. It has eight leds in the front, one for every port. Since there is only 1 light per port, you won't be able to tell if the port is connecting at 10Mbps or 100Mbps. The led is not very bright and hard to see. Also the the plastic body makes the product very light; it's hard to keep the switch flat on the surface if you have most of the ports in the back connected. But the product works, and is cheap for an 8-port switch and it features auto sensing ports for uplink-ing which is very convenient.

No Gigafast But Fast Enough

Strengths: Small, No-Non Sense Installation

Weakness: Separate Power Supply

It is so easy to put this together right behind the DSL router. Now I have 7 ports for everyone in the house. The nicest thing is the auto uplink that I can just plug any port and it works. Now I just have to run the new XP feature to broadcast the OTA (Off The Air) HDTV PC TV tuner then it's a hit.

Strengths: Compact; easy to set up

I bought it almost a year ago. And it's still up and running, after running 24 hour a day for 11 months. It's a compact unit. And the setup is really easy. I wish I had it earlier. At the price I paid, I would recommend it to any person.

Strengths: Cheap price.

I had this product for about 6 days. Since I connected this product to my network, it slows my network down. It's not worth the price even with the rebate.
