I love this microwaveStrengths: Does everything and does it well Weakness: None I first bought this model in 1993in black then remodeled my kitchen in 1996 and bought a white one. It is a total workhorse and does a great job. Both models lasted over 10 years. Took the black one to work where it stood up great. Cleaning lady just broke a part on the door so I am looking for a new one. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Best Microwave/Convection OvenStrengths: Large interior for a microwave convection oven, ease of use, easy to understand settings. Weakness: none I had one of these before and loved it. The old one got dropped during a renovation and never worked right afterwards. I just had to replace it with the same one because nothing else worked as well or held as much inside. I can cook casserole dishes as well as bake and it all turns out great. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Sharp R930AW Countertop Microwave
Strengths: Solid performer - does everything well - convection and microwave functions.
Weakness: 14 inch tray too big (14 in) won't sit flat on sink bottom to soak & soften residues. Auto ranges for cooking too narrow (like no more than 3.0 lb chicken. Non std 2 row keyboard (horizontal).
The Sharp R930AW is a fine product - had previous model for 14 years. An excellent microwave and convection device. The weaknesses noted don't really distract from the quality of this machine - Sharp has tried to pack more bells and whistles into this device than I think is needed. Most deficiencies are minor and have easy work arounds.
This model is larger (1.5 cu ft vs 1.0) than the Sharp I had previously. Some controls are now smaller and seem too close together-sometimes hard to hit the right button. Does everything well, except the Sensor cook function - which is great sometimes and inaccurate other times (could also be my fault).
The Compu-Bake, Roast, Broil button need greater weight ranges, as does the defrost fuction. All are easily worked around. All cook perfectly.
Overall, 5 stars - pretty much takes the place or a full size microwave and a small wall oven and does everything well. Would buy another and recommend it.
