Featured packed car media player!

Strengths: Bluetooth, HD radio ready, 5v preamps, reverse tilt, multiple video input and outputs

Weakness: Can be confusing to operate, some homemade DVDs get stuck requiring reboot

This player went into the 08 Honda Pilot to replace the stock cd player that comes with the car. Installation was straightforward given you had all the wiring diagrams infront of you. I had to get a trim kit to make the unit flush with the dash. The time was worth it as this player can do it all. DVDs, CDs, taking cell phone calls via Bluetooth, pictures, etc. The 5v preamp outs for the surround sound is a major plus for this unit. Screen quality is excellent. This unit is pretty complex in its menus so it can be easy to get lost or miss an option. However, after reading the manual and through real world use, I'm almost perfect at operating the unit. If you want a unit that's geared for the future, you won't be disappointed with this unit.

The Swiss Army Knife of Car Stereos

Strengths: Lot's of inputs, sounds great and easy to use

Weakness: HD Radio present tends to lose it's settings once in while

I purchased the Kenwood DDX812 along with the KNA-G510 (Garmin Navigation, KTC-HR200 (HD Radio Tuner)and KCA-iP300V (iPod connector). System installed and started up without a hitch. There are so many A/V input that you'll never find enough sources to connect them. This unit also provides two USB inputs (one for the iPod). Sound is awesome compared to my factory head unit. I'm also able to play Divx movies off the build in DVD player. All the external components (listed above) worked seamlessly. The only issue I have is the HD radio presents sometimes looses it settings. Not sure what's causing it, but it's a pain to reprogram each one. I've the unit for about a month and used it on a daily basis, so far I had to reprogram the HD radio presets three times. Other than this one issue, the unit is flawless.
