Panasonic SC-PT760 Home TheaterStrengths: Very easy to assemble. Sounds a lot better than my Samsung LCD. Ipod interface can play videos! Weakness: The remote. Speaker wires are a little thicker than string. Adjusting the settings correctly. I've had this system for 3 weeks. The first purchase I made after opening the box was a Harmony universal remote. The remote that came in the box was very confusing to me and it has way too many buttons for what I need. Watching DVD's is a very good experience. The sound is very clear, including highs and lows, and very adjustable. Playing cd's I couldn't tell much difference between the dvd sound. The receiver controls my TIVO very easily with the Harmony remote. I didn't connect the AM antennae but did connect the flimsy FM antennae. In spite of being a 3 foot thin wire that I taped to the wall behind the tv it honed right in on my local FM stations with no problem. I do wonder if I change out the speaker wires with better wire if it will help the sound or hurt it. I may try this later on. So far, I'm pleased with the purchase. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Just what I wanted.Strengths: Good solid sound. Wireless rear speakers. Value for money fine. Weakness: Awful remote! Accessing functions confusing. The remote control is terrible. All the buttons are almost same size, and their functions are scattered all over face. The shape is nondescript rectangle, giving no tactile feel, so even something simple like changing volume requires a visual check. 75% of readers found this review helpful. Pleasantly surprisedStrengths: Wireless rear speakers, good sound, value priced. Weakness: Should have stands for rear speakers I've had this system for just over a month now, and I still can't believe what a difference it makes to my movie watching experience. I just LOVE it! The wireless rear speakers were the reason I bought this system in the first place. I'm a bit electronically challenged, but I did manage to set things up all by myself AND it works. For the price, this HTIB is a GREAT value. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Great system, good priceStrengths: easy to set up, good quality sound, I-Pod Dock works great. Weakness: I had a little trouble with the 5 DVD changer, I set it up a couple of days ago, so I have to try a few more times. It was a very easy set up, sound is great, Connected to my 46" Mitsubishi, picture from the DVD is great, I still have to play more with the settings and the remote. Panasonic SC-PT760
THE GOOD: 5.1-channel home theater in a box with wireless surround speakers; HDMI upscaling to 1080p; stand-mounted front left/right speakers; integrated iPod dock; full iPod menu displayed on TV for easy remote navigation. THE BAD: Utilitarian look and feel; paltry connectivity; no iPod video playback via HDMI or component output; sounds better with movies than with music. THE BOTTOM LINE: With... Top

Much More Than Adequate For Our Needs
Strengths: Wireless rear speakers. They come without stands, but you can get a set of stands that almost match the front speaker stands that come with the system for under $40. Easy setup/onscreen displays.
Weakness: Should come with rear(surround)speaker stands. The amp could benefit from another HDMI port.
I splurged on a 50" Panasonic HDTV and economized on the audio to go with it. I will maybe upgrade in the future but so far am extremely pleased with the quality of sound, ease of setup, and ease of use I get with this system. If you're not into "total immersion" or have your HDTV located in a large room, this system should be more than adequate for you.
