Cuisinart SPB7CH 7-Speed Chrome Blender

Strengths: Poerful blender with heavy-duty glass container.

Weakness: A little noisy but it isn't a big deal.

I was shopping around the powerful blender for the last few months since I had a not-so-good blender before. I went to Foleys last weekend and intended to pick Kitchen Aid blinder. However, finally I picked Cuisinart with the ssame shape and same current/wattage (500W) but the price is 40% less.

What kind of drive gear does it have on the base unit? Plastic/rubber or steel? I have a Kitchen Aid and it has the plastic/rubber gear and it deteriorated over time even though the blender was not used heavily and now all the teeth are gone. I would not buy a blender with the plastic/rubber gear again.

Don't buy this blender

Strengths: Works fine when it's not broken

Weakness: The part that spins is made out of plastic and breaks.

We bought this blender, hardley ever used it and the part that spins on the base that connects to the canister is
made out of plastic and broke. When we contacted the manufacturer they said this plastic part that spins is
not a part they can send us and we are out of luck.
We paid alot for this blender and now it's garbage...
