WIRELESS-G NOTEBOOK CARD WITH SRXStrengths: FAST, STRONG SIGNAL. Weakness: NONE THE STRONG SIGNAL EVIDENTLY IS NOT AFFECTED BY THREE CONCRETE BLOCK WALLS WITH REINFORCING STEEL. THE OVERALL DISTANCE FROM THE ROUTER IS 50 FEET. THE ROUTER IS LOCATED AT DESK LEVEL ON THE SAME FLOOR AS THE NOTEBOOK. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Excellent Wireless AdapterStrengths: Great range and signal quality, easy setup Weakness: Some Interference This adapter has worked great upstairs connecting to my WCG200 cable modem downstairs. The only time I have noticed interruptions with the signal was during Hurricane Rita which is understandeable and also remarkable. 100% of readers found this review helpful. nice cardStrengths: good range Weakness: gets interupted by certain things it says somewhere that it can get up to like 108 mps, but i never got over 54, which is still nice. the range is nice on it. the one thing that scares me is the amount of bytes it gets and it sends. it sends almost nothing but still works. i would buy again if it never gets outdated 100% of readers found this review helpful. WPC54GX Wireless Network Adapter (802.11b/g, 108...Strengths: Easy setup, excellent reception, good speed Weakness: Literature says compatible with Win98SE, not true. Switched to Win2k. After the Win98SE disappointment, I reformatted the drive and installed an old copy of Win2k hardwired to my router. I have an real old Dell Inspiron 3700 (vintage 1998). Then I downloaded all Win2k patches and upgrades. After achieving a stable operating system, I unplugged the hardwire ethernet. I loaded the Linksys CD software, plugged in the WPC54GX. My system automatically recognized it and configured the driver. Then, the provided utility popped up and showed me my router. I clicked on it, entered the security password and I was in! All in all, not *too* tough. But, if you don't have to do the preliminary work as I did -- it was really plug and play. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Linksys WPC54GX Wireless-G Notebook Adapter with SRX
Strengths: This card has a very strong reciever and the installation is very easy.
Weakness: No external antenna connector. The paired router does most of the MIMO magic, so the special antenna would be nice but is not neccesary.
I've tried all the current MIMO APs as of this writing and this card and the paired MIMO router work the best. All the MIMO routers are better than the non MIMO.
