Strengths: 1. Enhance tactile bass with less rattles
2. Compact and built solid
Weakness: 1.Lacks that 'chest-pounding' feel
2.Need to adjust frequencies in amp & EQ to obtain convenient vibrations
I mount mine in my car because I couldn't find the 'Silent-Subwoofer for car' version anymore. Guitammer technical supports says that they are both pretty much identical; they only slapped different sticker on it.
Installation was pretty straightforward, just like regular connect-to-amp & receiver installation. I'm very impressed with the results, this little device really kicks!!
If I hide the unit, and didn't reveal where all the precise vibrations come from, all my friends thought I just bought a top-dollar premium sound system.
The only thing that I missed after using this system is that chest-pounding sensation using conventional subwoofers. Oh well, they called it buttkicker not chestthumpers.
But in overall, I love this thing and it definitely a keeper.
