I did a big reorganization project at home and decided to think long term by buying higher quality file boxes. I found these online (shunning the retail office store prices). These are solid construction and just feel thick and strong compared to the cheaper discount versions you might find elsewhere. The stacking strength is around 800 lbs. I don't think my stuff weighs that much, but I believe it. I currently have them stacked about 5 boxes high and they're fine, no sagging or anything.
It's nice now to have everything I want to store packed away for the long term. I like the uniformity and knowledge that I won't have to go back and replace cheap boxes that break or sag or whatnot. The investment is worth it.
