IOGEAR MiniView Micro GCS62 KVM Switch

Strengths: Inexpensive, easy to connect

Weakness: Doesn't work on some systems

The IOGear GCS62 does not appear to work correctly with some systems, including the (server-class) Dell Poweredge 2600. The Dell system acted like the keyboard was stuck on multiple attempts and would not boot or operate with the GCS62 connected. This may be due to something non-standard about the Dell system but, other KVMs work okay with it.

IOGEAR MiniView Micro GCS62 KVM Switch

Strengths: No lock-ups or compatibility issues with my equipment (Dell standard keyboard & a MS optical scrollwheel mouse). NO POWER SUPPLY NEEDED! The Scroll Lock hotkey switch is convenient.

Weakness: None.

The GCS62 is wonderful. I like the self-powered format. One less cable, you know? The KVM cables are long [enough] and the device has worked flawlessly for about 6 months now. I'm only replacing soon because I have a new, third system. Otherwise - no way!

IOGEAR MiniView Micro GCS62 KVM Switch

Strengths: A wonderful product – relatively inexpensive, cables are included, it's self-powered, and supports most common video resolutions (read the specs before you buy).

Weakness: None.

A nifty, unobtrusive little 2-port KVM switch that makes you wonder why competing products are bigger / more complex / more expensive. I use it to administer my server, which rarely needs attention and doesn't warrant the expense and space of another keyboard, mouse, and monitor.

IOGEAR MiniView Micro GCS62 KVM Switch

Strengths: great cables built in , self powered (from ps), dirt cheap

This has got to be the best 2-1 KVM out there.
Self -powered thru ps/2 connector . no stupid transformer and metal box. DIRT CHEAP $50

Works great at 1600x1200 true color resoltion.
Works with my Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse receiver is also ps/2 powered

Switching works fine thru scroll lock key

Excelent

Strengths: No cable, easy to connect, and once connected no need to even see it or touch it.

Weakness: works only with PS2 mice and keyboard, if you have usb mouse and small adapter on the end it will NOT work.

Good stuff, dirt cheap, doesn't take up any room on your crowded desk. Once you double-click on scroll lock the adapter will activate and switch to another machine... stupid proof as it can be.
