Nice Saw

Strengths: Powerful, variable speed, tool free blade change, low profile, carrying case

Weakness: None so far

One of the most powerful jig saws available (6.5 amps). cuts effortlessly and is nicely complemented by it's low profile and variable speed. Tool free blade changes save alot of time and frustration. Comes with three blades and a plastic carrying case. I have used many different brands of jigsaws, usually for sink hole cutouts. I highly reccomend this saw

Bosch Gets The job Done Again!

Strengths: Quick blade changes, easy to use, comfortable

Weakness: A little heavy

I originally was going to buy a smaller Bosch Unit but decided to splurge and go for the best. This tool is a pleasure to use... It's so powerfull but delicate at the same time. The speed adjustment is a nice touch and makes cutting thin material a snap.

Excellent tool, well worth the price

Strengths: cuts like butter Very smooth, with little jitter Easy to guide

Weakness: changing the blade can be awkward

I had inherited an old oil filled Porter Cable, and had used this a handful of times to make several plywood cuts on a poker table.
While this did the job, I was often having issues with the saw jumping all over the place, keeping it in line and the direction I desired, and a real issue with blowout.
It had enough and died on me, and I looked at this model.
After noting the price I knew I had to hold off for a bit, but was fortunate to get one as a gift for my birthday.
It is truly a world away from my previous model.
Virtually all the problems and issues I had with the other have disappeared.
Whether I cut 1/2" or 3/4" ply, there is little or no blowout.
It comes with 3 or 4 blades to try out.
While I can't comment on all of them, the precision blade works like a champ.

My complain would be in that you cannot place the saw into the case without removing the blade.
While it doesn't take a huge amount to install, it does deter from opening the box and getting right to work, especially if you have limited time.
I have also found the manual indicates all you need to do is push a button on the side. Perhaps I misread, but it seems you need to use a combination of the side button and a slide latch on the front to get the blade either in or out.

My only second grief would be that the on/of switch is not easily reached with your thumb as you might expect.
Rather I find I have to hold the tool in one hand, and turn it on/off with the other, instead of using my other hand to stablize it as it vibrates in the air.
