In order to properly connect a non LVD device (centronics 50 pin) to a LVD card (VHDCI - 68 pin) you must according to adaptec terminate the 18 pins not used. This cable does not do that. According to Belkin, this cable is just a pass through providing NO terminiation for the 18 pins not in use.
