Strengths: Has the longest pedal board of any brand which is especially benificial when playing double strokes. Has the strongest springs of any pedal. Linkage rod has no "play". Fully adjustable cam.
Weakness: If you play with a "heavy" foot this pedal will have a very light feel.
For playing Death Metal and other types of music requiring speed and quickness this pedal is at the top. I've been playing Speed Grind at the average speed of 220-270 at a click for the last 2 1/2 years with my Axis A2 Longboards. I was formerly in the employ of Guitar Center and had the opportunity to try just about every type of kick pedal on the market and due to my playing style I chose Axis. The linkage rod for all the double pedals has the most direct power transfer of any pedal on the market. For the A models the multi adjustable cam is a added bonus because you don't have to remove any parts to change (example the removeable cams for the Pearl Eliminator) you just loosen the wing nut and slide the cam up or down to achieve the feel you want. The maintenance is very low due to the fact that it is mostly made of aluminum and has internal sealed ball bearings.

AXIS A2 Longboard Double Pedal
