compact system for small household jobsStrengths: compact, lightweight, holds power, price Weakness: no carrying case The new VPX system by Black and Decker is impressive in limited experience with using the system. Overall, its attributes are that it is lightweight, compact and relatively powerful. The battery is small and holds a decent capacity and holds charge for a long time. The tools are compact, ergonomic and easy to use. While these tools are not powerful enough for big jobs or a contractor, they make great sense for small jobs around the house. The perfect set for your wife or girlfriend!
Strengths: great size, great price; just right

My wife keeps eyeing my Craftsman tools to do small projects around the house. As a result I always keep them locked up. They are too heavy and too powerful for her to handle and I don't want her to get hurt.
I have been watching for a lighter set of power tools that would be just right for her. This Black & Decker set (VPX903X1) is just what I've been looking for!
The tools are perfect for her smaller hands and light enough for her to keep complete control. An additional plus is the lithium-ion battery included which gives plenty of working time per charge.
The one problem that I foresee is that she won't let me use "her tools" for small jobs around the house!
(I may have to buy a set for myself.)
