SanDisk Infoprint 1422 Printer

Strengths: easy to use

Weakness: n/a

I have got this photo viewer for almost one month and it has never let me down. My friends and I can share the picture on our TV, even we got the different kind of memory card without wasting time to download in PC. That is great for us.

Moreover, we can control it by using remote control. It makes everything easier.

In brieft, it is what I expected.

Digital Photo Album With Remote

Strengths: Supports many different cards, works well with picture viewing

Weakness: Slow video play

This device works very well showing pictures on a tv. I use a 2gb secure digital card, and it reads the card no problem. The remote is very functional. Movies play choppy and slow at best, and there is no sound, which was disappointing.

Sandisk Digital Photo Album (Model SDV2-A-A30)

Strengths: 1- 2 year warrenty 2- Easy to hook-up 3- Has many features and functions 4- Web site and toll free number with knowlegable contacts 5- Small - fits anywhere

Weakness: 1- very light weight - Have to hold it from moving 2- Base contains no controls - don`t loose the remote! 3- User Manuel

I`ll start by saying I don`t know of any other product that competes with the Photo Album. While using it, I haven`t thought of anything I would like it to do that it doesn`t already do, but someone else might.
I`ve read lots of user manuels and found this one of the worst. I had to find out how to access features (in some cases) by pushing buttons and noting which accomplished what the instructions were attempting to tell me. This was the only "weekness" that bothered me.
All said, I like the photo album very much and would never consider giving it up.

Great Digital Photo Album

Strengths: Remote, Easy to use, price

Weakness: none yet

The Digital Photo Album was easy to use, good value for the money, and the remote control is a must. Can look at my photos without going through the PC. I would recommend this for any Digital camera owner.

Digital Photo Album With Remote

Strengths: Sleek design, Various memory card support, and Remote control

Weakness: A bit slow and need the latest firmware upgrade to support some memory card

This product makes it easy for my friend and I to view photos on a television. We do not need to copy our photos onto a PC, then copy them on a memory card, and put the card back into a camera that supports video output anymore. All of these are reduced to just one easy step: put your memory cards into this product.

It supports all the memory card types used in current digital cameras. You can certainly pop the memory card out of your camera, and put it in this product. Then, you use the remote control to move through the photos.

There are something you have to beware of this product. It does not work very fast. You need to wait until it finishes previous command before pressing another button on the remote control. Once you get used to this, you will use it happily.

This product does not support all memory cards, types, and brands out of the factory. You might need to update its firmware to the latest one in Sandisk's website. If you still have problem with some memory cards, let Sandisk know, and they will release an updated firmware to solve your problem.

Could you point us to the url where you can download firmware update for this device? I went to sandisk website, but found only a driver for this model. Thanks a lot.

works great!

Strengths: No problems showing jpg and avi files taken with my Canon S45.

Weakness: rotating images didn't work

I tested it with a 512 MB Sandisk Compact flash card. I expected it to go from picture to picture much slower, like my Dazzle player does. The remote is clear and easy to use. The rotate button didn't seem to work - my image remained the same. The zoom button is very nice.

SanDisk Digital Photo album with Remote

Strengths: allows senior people to view pictures on TV rather than on a computer display. works with all cards.

Weakness: No background music. Very light weight. Slow.

Overall, I am satisfied with this product. Bought it for my father to view pictures he took on TV than on a LCD monitor.
I am disappointed on there is no backgroud music while playing slideshow.
Very long response time to the command on remote control. it's bearable.
Could've have improved on the weight of the unit to prevent it from falling/moving.
Other than above, no complains. No too many products work with TV so far. So happy with what I got.

Not all you hope for...

Strengths: Small. Majority of cards accepted. All accessories included. Upgradeable firmware. 2 year warranty.

Weakness: Does not play MPEG-4 format with sound...silent movies...choppy, not as many frames. Can play MP3 but need 2 cards to play music and slide show. USB 1.1 and no 2.0 support.

Well, I was looking for a all in one solution for my digital media. Instead of burning DVDs or connecting my camera, I figured that I could add this gadget to my home theatre system and it would do all. Wrong. While it does support JPEG at high resolutions, it has its shortcommings. First, I wanted to play my MPEG-4 video with sound...no dice. In fact, it supports only 8 frames/second resolution with no sound. Sub-standard. As far as photo or slide show, it is nice. However, it failed to read a 2gb SD card perhaps because of limitations on card capacities. Another short-comming. As a bonus, it does second as an MP3 player for the home theatre system. For the money, I guess it is not all bad...

SanDisk Photo Album review

SanDisk's new Photo Album is a TV player for digital photos as well as a USB memory card reader and an MP3 jukebox. It can also play movie clips and it's one of the best value digital accessories we've recently come across. Read our review to find out what sets this product apart from its competitors.
