Strengths: fast and crisp printing, great to handle numerous countinuous fax tasks, works great on the network, this is a little work horse and more than adequate for our small office (5 people)

Weakness: wish the display was a little bigger, but overal I am very happy with the purchase

can't beat the features for the price. Had to buy new drum and toner for my old multi-funcion machine. The total with shipping would have been $160. For $227 INCLUDING shipping this was a steal !!

Brother MFC-9700 Multifunction Printer

Strengths: Fast enough, reasonable price and cheap cost per printing,

Weakness: Contrast of printing and copying is different. For copies, I need to put it in higher contrast set and there is no seperate automatic set up for copy and print mode.

I bought this printer my work.
I had HP, but it was too slow and inks were costy.

I am glad to get this printer. It is resonably fast and good printing cost per page.

Strengths: FAST AND SHARP PRINT,COPY, AND SCAN, EXCELLENT FEATURE SET

Weakness: SLOW SCAN, A BIT NOISY COMPARED TO MY HP LASERJET

Brother MFC-9700 Multifunction Printer

Strengths: All-in-one/multifunction machine. Flatbed design is better than traditional fax design multifunction machine.

Weakness: Scanner light stays on for 16 hours after last copy (maybe after last fax too, I forget)! Brother said not a design flaw! Helps with scanner life. Wonder what electric cost of 16hrs is?

Despit 16 hour scanner light, I would still purchase it. I rarely fax/scan. I maybe use the copy function one day a week. The flat bed design multifunction machine is SUPERIOR to a traditional fax design for the easy ability to make a copy of a small piece of paper. I made the mistake of purchasing a traditional fax desing multifunction machine before; a good machine, but inconvient to make copies of small pieces of papers, receipts, ..., as I would have to tape it to a 8.5"x11" paper then run it through the machine. Flat bed design, just place it on the glass and press COPY.

Brother MFC 9700 Laser Printer - Recommended

Strengths: Very fast, reasonable price, great features as multifunction

Weakness: I don't have much complain about this printer.

This is a ideal printer for home office or for small business. It's cheap and realiable. Easy Scan, Fast copy and print. Value for money. Works great on network.

But it's very big.

Recomended.

Strengths: Very good copying and printing.

Weakness: Expensive network module, fax is a little bit slow, no USB cable, not USB 2.0 compatible

This printer was top of the line Brother all-in-one two years ago. Being my first laser all-in-one printer I am very satisfied with printing and copying . The printer is relatively quiet, good scan and fast printing. Recomended.
