DECT 6.0 Cordless Phones (1.9GHz, Caller ID,...

Strengths: great form factor - with razor like look and feel. sound clarity best we've experienced. wireless range more than adequate.

Weakness: initial feedback was it would be tough to keep on the shoulder while walking around, but 'just took some getting used to'. vmail feature (light and text on display) not noted on the outside of box

very happy across the board with the vtech 6.0 product. having the second phone work without needing a telephone jack nearby is key, and fit into overall home telephony needs nicely.

Vtech 6041 Cordless 6.0 Dect Cordless Phone

Strengths: Sleek design, light weight, nice color blue when lit, easy to read large nos. great clarity even with speaker phone on, and simple to use.

Weakness: It is so slim and light weight that sometimes it slips from my hand. May take some getting use to since other older phones are thicker and heavier

I have been quite pleased with this phone. I like the fact that the second phone does not need a phone jack and it is such a small size that it fits in anywhere. It is so light that you do not get phone fatigue when having long conversations. It fits well into its holder and sits pretty upright so that you see the caller ID easily. When using speaker phone, it would be nice to put it back in holder and keep on speaking, but it disconnects. I would recommend this phone for its attractiveness and latest technology - the 6.0 dect - which gives great clear sound.

This phone is great

Strengths: sound quality, light weight, sleek

Weakness: Hard to hold on shoulder

The Vtech model 6041 phone is sleek, lightweight and user-friendly. Set up and charging was a breeze. Entering numbers in the directory was quick and easy. The sound quality is very clear.

The biggest drawback to this phone is trying to hold it on your shoulder to talk; the phone is so thin that it makes it hard to hold that way.

VTech 6041

Strengths: Very light to carry around, the sound is clear. I liked the fact that you didn't have to plug in the second phone into a wall jack. I found that entering phone numbers into the phonebook very easy.

Weakness: short life

Excellent phone, when it works. Mine lasted 7 months then started making screechy noises and beeps. Returned it to Service Department and had it replaced under warranty. Went again a few months later, similar problems except sudden connection loss as well as lots of beeps. As it was a couple of months out of warranty, nothing could be done. No repair available even though I was willing to pay. Good candidate for store extended warranty

VTech 6041 Cordless Phone

Strengths: size (very thin), ease of use, cell phone look, clarity

Weakness: can't hang on wall

Very nice phone. DECT 6.0 is extremely clear even when installed next to several electronic devices. I haven't received any interference from this phone. The extension works great. I wish it could mount on the wall. I would buy again. It is well worth the $70 through Circuit City.
