Nice machine! Worth to get one!!

Strengths: easy to use, unexpensive, with many functions

Weakness: n/a

We love it!! It works really great in making the dough, pizza, toast, and breads so far. In addition, the machine works very quiet when operating and has a window on the top. I can easily see what is going on inside. Anyway, We have lots fun when we get it!!

Good breadmaker, recommend

Strengths: Easy to start up, Less expensive, Good Recipe

Weakness: may need to manual mix or adjust the dough, a little noisy

My friends are enjoying this machine for months and then I bought the machine. It works great. The bread smell good, and is delicious. My family will no longer buy bread from supermarket.

Highly recommended for those looking for a less expensive breadmaker.

13 hours programmable/58 min express bread making function is very good for those who want to eat fresh bread when they get up in the morning or come back home in the evening.

A good buy for the beginner

Strengths: Easy, fast and quiet.

Weakness: The beep sound is too loud.

This is my first bread maker. After trying a few recipes, I find this machine is good for a beginner. I like to wake up in the smell of fresh bread in the morning, but I really hate the three single beep sound it bursts out to tell you that she has done the job!

Great basic breadmaker!

Strengths: Inexpensive. All the most commonly used functions

Weakness: The first item received made wired noise but the replacement didn't show the problem.

I bought this breadmaker seven weeks ago and my overall experience so far has been great. It has all the most commonly used functions and has been doing a great job for normal use in my house. The pan has non-stick coating that makes it very easy to clean. The manual is very user friendly and provides step by step instructions. The manual also includes quite a few very useful recipes so that you can start to use it right away.

The issue I got was that the first item delivered made a wired noise when making dough. It sounded like it got a slipping belt but it made bread all right. I believe it was somewhat defective although it didn’t affect the functionality. After contacting the vendor for a replacement, the problem never happened again.

Overall, it is a good inexpensive breadmaker.

great product for price

Strengths: price, many features including express bake and 13 hr delay bake, not noisy, easy to use & clean

Weakness: manual

I purchased this machine about a year ago. Liked it very much and bought another one for my sister. No problem at all so far. I don't know if the company updated the manual recently, but I have heard so many complaints about the recipes in the manual. I got several recipes online, and they worked great! Customer service is great.

economic breadmaker works great

Strengths: easy to use and clean. The delay feature works great for working family like mine.

Weakness: Manual intervention maybe required to mix the flour.

The mixer doesn't go very high speed and you may have to add flour little by little and pay attention to which part of the container you want to add more.

For the price, it works great. My three year old stops eating the toast bread from grocery store, since we bought this breadmaker.

Awesome bread machine

Strengths: Small, quiet, convenient, multi-functional, and easy to operate.

Weakness: Low capacity

We got the machine because we indeed want to make home-made noddle but we are so lazy to make the dough. We learned from friends that this specific machine can make the dough just by adding flour and water in it. Upon the arrival of the machine, it has been used more than ten times. We are very satisfied with the dough it makes. This save us time and labor in making food and satisfies us with the thing we want to eat.

In addition, we tried to use this to produce dough for making bread. It is very easy to set up. Just put flour, milk, and yeast in and let it run for about a hour. You will then get the dough to bake. Fairly easy.

If I am asked to say something bad about it, I would say the capacity is a little too small. You can only load 2 pounds of flour which seems not enough for a big family. Actually we don't really mind running it for several more times to make more dough because it works so efficiently.

You won't go wrong for it.

sunbeam 5891 2-pound programmable breadmaker

Strengths: easy to operate and has lots of functions such as making bread, dough, jam and sandwich

Weakness: Up to now, I am satisfied with this cute breadmaker.

I have just bought this breadmaker. I like it, because it can be used for bread making and for dough making. The other reason I like it is its big viewing winder through witch I can know the progress of baking or the status of dough. I think it might be better if the bread pan handle is thicker.

Solid and Inexpensive

Strengths: Simple to use and Inexpensive

Weakness: Screen hard to see

Purchased for my daughter, she has made several quality loafs so far. Makes a 1 1/2 pound loaf in about 3 hours.
I've had more expensive makers before and this one works just as well.

The setting screen is hard to see (is it supposed to be lighted?).

So far, under $40.00 seems like a great deal.

Sunbeam mod. 5891 breadmaker

Strengths: reasonable price, easy to use, good results

Weakness: size, breadpan shape

I have been using breadmakers to make my own bread for 8+ years now. This is my 3rd breadmaker and so far I'm happy with the purchase. My first breadmaker only made 1.5 lb loaf, which isn't big enough. This one makes a 2.0 loaf, which is the minimum size when you have a couple kids and don't want to be baking bread every other day. My second breadmaker conked out after 4 years of use. Considering it was refurbished and only cost $28, I was happy with it.

So far about the only things I don't like about this breadmaker are the size of the machine and the shape of the pan. The machine has a large footprint and takes up a lot of counter/shelf space. Not unreasonably so, but more than my previous models. 2nd, the breadpan is a rectangular shape. My previous models were square, and provided a nice, consistent loaf for sandwiches and such. The bread in this rectangular pan is more like a typical store-bought bread. Not that this is bad, but I liked the standard square slices, especially when I had to cut off the crusts for kids.

That said, this is a great machine for the money. I bought in part based on product reviews about quality, but the price was great. You can find plenty of machines that cost upwards of $100 or more, but why spend that much? This machine does everything I need for less than half of that. I've gotten good results so far on basic white and wheat breads, and look forward to trying it on sweet breads and pizza dough.

It will be a fun machine.

Strengths: Lots of functions. I did dough only now to make bun and I found it’s very convenient. The non-sticky pan is very easy to clean.

Weakness: A little bit noisy and bulky in size. A recoiled power cord will be better than the current design.

For some reasons, I am still doing experiment on making my dough. As a first time user, I do find the machine makes this job very easy. But this machine needs good recipes to make good dough. And I am following the recipe I downloaded from internet now.

It seems that I can also make pizza which I never think of before. This is due to the fact that I own this breadmaker and I believe it will be a fun machine.

Anyway, it meets my basic needs and also in an affordable price.

nice

Strengths: inexpensive; quiet; nice looking;

Weakness: so far so good

If you are looking for an inexpensive breadmaker, this is the one. It has all the functions a breadmaker should have. Just follow the recipe, put everything in the breadmaker, wait 2 to 3 hours, done.
It's big and very heavy, while the picture makes you think it's light weighted.
The only thing I don't like is that I made the French bread once, following the recipe. I chose the light crust, but it's still too hard to chew.
