HP (Hewlett-Packard) PSC 2355 All In One Printer

Strengths: very nice prints with or without the optional photo ink cartridge. Wonderful stand alone printer/copier and even better performance when installed!

Weakness: could be a little more speedy

After carefully reseach in various brands and models, i bought this HP 2355 printer 3 months ago. It meets my needs in its print and copy functions beacause i have an extra fax machine.I have owned this printer for quite a long time and i could say that this is really a nice machine with all the good qualities i expect.

First, prints can be borderless and non, size too. Not a single problem did i meet when i use my 4x6 photo paper as well as 8.5x11. No problems with paper feed or end results either.

Secondly, this printer's dpi is as high as any all-in-one printer under $600.That makes sense to all the nice prints so far i have got from it.It also prints quitely comparing with my other canon MP390.

If you want nice scans, this machine could be your choice too.It has flat bed and could easily fulfil your task excellently.

HP (Hewlett-Packard) PSC 2355 All In One Printer

Strengths: great prints

Weakness: none

This is a great printer! It copies, enlarges, reduces and prints stunning photos. I photocopied several B/W and color photo's and they printed beautifully. Initially, I used this printer/copier without a PC and guess what...w/o a PC, it doesn't know what PC you have! I have since installed it with my PC and WOW, am I am enjoying this printer!! I have printed wallets, 4x6 borderless, 5x7 and 8x10 borderless. NICE results!

This printer has performed well for me and gives stunning prints. The copier is great and the scanner works well but I have yet to scan any photographs.

HP (Hewlett-Packard) PSC 2355 All In One Printer

Strengths: East to use, relative small, high print quality, and print without a computer.

Weakness: No

This is a very good all in one for family use. The printing quality is very good, and this all in one is easy to use. Its size is also small compared with other brands. The scan and print speed is good. Installation is very easy.

HP (Hewlett-Packard) PSC 2355 All In One Printer

Strengths: Fast, easy to use.

Weakness: Expensive ink cartridges.

This is my first AIO and I love it. As my other HP printers, this one has great printing quality and prints very fast. I have a scanner, a HP 7260 printer and a Canon PC428 copier. Now I just need this one. I'm always satisfied with HP printers, highly recommended.

HP (Hewlett-Packard) PSC 2355 All In One Printer

Strengths: Fast printing. Photo viewer. Decent scanner. Very high quality photo printing. Small footprint.

Weakness: Lengthly installation process. Photo grey cartridge not included.

My 7 year old HP was getting a little tired, although still chugging along. I decided on another HP and opted for the 3 in one to save space. The HP2355 met all my needs on paper and I was not disappointed. It took a while to install on my Dell desktop, running Windows XP Home. Once it finished I was delighted with the results. I had not purchased the optional grey cartridge, which I really think should have been included by HP. Photo printing without this still produces superb borderless prints. The memory card slots are a definite bonus and save on camera battery life. When I made copies I was able to reduce and enlarge, a real plus. The scanner produced excellent results. It is actually an improvement over my CanoScan. Printing is a lot faster than my old HP722c. The blacks are crisp and rival laser quality. The whole package is very "user friendly". To say I am pleased is an understatement. I would purchase this again without hesitation.

HP (Hewlett-Packard) PSC 2355 All In One Printer

Strengths: ease of installation, size, quality of color prints, good instructions, front paper feed, hooks (slots) to camera(s)

Weakness: price of replacement ink

we shopped for 4 months looking for a printer/scanner/copier and finally bought the 2355 on sale for $158, got (3) of them. It is more than we hoped it would be, it prints great pictures with or without glossy paper. The instruction/set up was easy. Out of the box and printing pictures in less than an hour, on an old 650htz computer. Scanner is so quiet you don't know if its working. No paper jams, even when I reused some old paper. It has the capacity to do more things than we'll ever use, but our kids will find out quickly.

HP (Hewlett-Packard) PSC 2355 All In One Printer

Strengths: Fast Printing, Good Quality Copying & Scanning, Picture LCD & Memory Card Slots

Weakness: HP Software is the devil

When you purchase an HP Printer, you know you will be getting good quality. The HP PSC 2355 is no exception. This is a great All-in-one. If you often need to scan, copy, and print, this compact AIO is a good choice. For digital camera enthusiasts, it prints pictures too, both with and without a computer. So basically, its an All-in-One, plus Photoprinter. (NOTE: HP does NOT include a USB cable, so in case you don't need to connect this to a printer, you will have to buy the USB cable separately.)

The one big disadvantage is the HP Software that is included. It has a huge number of bugs, and I never quite got my software to work right. Unless you find computers intuitive, one may find trying to set this up annoyingly difficult; HP Tech support is no help either.

All in all, Great Printer, once you get it up and running. But trying to get the software to work is a challenge.

HP (Hewlett-Packard) PSC 2355 All In One Printer

Strengths: Easy to use. Relatively small compared to other AIO. Memory Card Reader is a plus.

Weakness: Small ink cart. Relatively higher print cost. USB Cable sold separately.

Overall, I recommend this printer. Print photos are easy from Memory Card. You can see the photo from the window and print. Print quality is good. Scanning operate with a just a button. Installation is easy and painless. Wish the ink cart were bigger to save cost and minimize number of times for replacement.

HP (Hewlett-Packard) PSC 2355 All In One Printer

Strengths: Quiet operation, multi-functional, great pictures from scans or from digital media

Weakness: No USB cable included, expensive ink cartridges

I recently upgraded from a Epson Stylus Photo 780 to the HP 2355. I am extremely happy with the HP 2355 so far. I have scanned both color and black and white photos with ease. The scanner is so quiet it will leave you wondering if it is working. Printing from the computer, scanner or digital media is easy and fast. The quality of the print directly from my digital media blew my mind. The installation process was slower than I had expected taking about 1 1/2 hours. But for me that was ok because I purchased it for only $45 due to the fact that it was a display model. I figure that if the display model works this well that there should be no issues with buying new.

HP (Hewlett-Packard) PSC 2355 All In One Printer

Strengths: Relative small, high print quality, print without computer.

Weakness: Expensive ink cartriges.

This is an inexpensive All-in-one machine with high print quality. Easy setup and easy use. This build-in LCD monitor makes it easy to print photos stored in the memory card without a computer. The con is the price of ink cartriges are expensive and it's quite unpractical to use this machine as a copier due to the high cost per copy.

HP (Hewlett-Packard) PSC 2355 All In One Printer

Strengths: Almost everything about it!

Weakness: A little big and can be a little loud.

I followed the installations instructions exactly on the CD but had to leave it running overnight (over 18 hours total) because installation was so SLOW. There were no error messages-things were just installing VERY slowly. I spent 2 hours on the phone with HP support(India). The support person was very polite, but finally said it must be something with my computer and he suggested I reinstall the operating system. I said "no thanks."
Next day I had my local computer person come to my house. In 10 minutes he figured out that the Hewlett Packard CD that was included with the printer was defective. He then downloaded the installation software from the HP website (a 45 minute download) and everything went perfectly.
The printer is great, pretty small size, copies text and graphics fast and well.

HP (Hewlett-Packard) PSC 2355 All In One Printer

Strengths: good quality, good for home office use

I had no problem with the instalation and the software was not a problem for me. The installation was a breeze. The software works great. The ink cart is a little small. So be prepared for this. The quality is very impressive.

HP (Hewlett-Packard) PSC 2355 All In One Printer

Strengths: Reasonable initial price, good quality prints, media slots

Weakness: Expensive ink cartridges, no generics available, can't scan legal size paper

This is a very good AIO at a very reasonable starting price to fit most family's needs. I found the quality of the prints to everyday scanning to be very adequate and the print speed is very good. Installation is pretty straightforward. My only concern is that it can't properly scan legal size paper which was something I forgot to think of when I got this unit.

I'm pretty happy with it so far but I try to conserve as much ink as possible since there is no lower price generic ink cartridges available. I would recommend this unit to anyone who is looking for a solid and basic AIO unit for home use.

Multifunction Inkjet Printers:Are You Ready for a Printer that Does More?

HP's multifunction printers are divided into two lines: photo-oriented models, called Photosmart, and those intended more for office applications. The PSC 2355 is in the latter group, yet it uses the same operating principle as the Photosmart where the inks are concerned: two cartridges, one for cyan, magenta, and yellow and the other for black. The black cartridge can be replaced by a tank...
