Hamilton Beach does it againStrengths: Great price, good coffee Weakness: Top lid has to have room to flip open I have owned several Hamilton Beach coffee makers and have yet to be disappointed. This is a great buy and great coffee. The only thing I had an issue with was when adding water to coffee maker you have flip the top lid 180 degrees to fill. My coffee maker sits on my counter, with top cabinets above and I have to move coffee maker out from under cabinets each morning to fill. This is somewhat of a nuisance but I have gotten used to it. Good coffee maker for the priceStrengths: Large carafe Hot coffee No drip carafe Easy to fill Easy to clean Logical buttons Weakness: Short power cord I bought this for $50 delivered. I wanted a no-drip carafe, brew interrupt to get a cup, and easy to clean. So far (one month) this meets the bill. I am happy I bought it. It is kind of boring to look at, but I don't spend much time staring at it. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Unit Fails after 1 Month
Strengths: Coffee is OK.
Weakness: Unit Fails after 1 Month and Hamilton Beach wants $15.99 to replace failed unit (plus ship old power cord)
Our Hamilton Beach 43254 Classic Stainless 12 Cup Coffeemaker was defective.
Steam rises from the top and front of the unit causing the LCD display to fog up and the LCD is turning black from all the moisture. Hamilton Beach wants $15.99 to replace the failed unit and want us to chop the cord from the old unit and mail it to them at our expense too.
I would not recommend this unit to others due to the terms of the warranty (fee to high, for their problem).
