Smuggler's Run PS2

Strengths: Realistic graphics and fun gameplay. Many missions + multiplayer games.

Weakness: Only three locations on the game and all levels are bordered by suspiciosly steep mountains. Water is not very realistic and some levels are very difficult. Cops are annoying.

Very realistic levels, cars, damage and other details. There were multitudes of missions for each level, and three levels. The missions are variated from chases, races, team and solo jobs, all of which were great fun. On multiplayer there are two styles of gameplay which are fun, working against each other or on solo jobs. There is a good option of 'joyriding', where you can zoom around the levels on your own or with a mate, getting used to and testing out cars and routes. You can knock people and animals flying, but after twitching on the ground for a while they get up again and wander back. You can also beat up other traffic with your car.

Perhaps that's because the first PlayStation created such a legacy that every publisher that performed well wanted to repeat its success with the same games on PS2. Rockstar had success on PS, but it took the effort to create something new on PS2 with Smuggler's Run.
