JBL 12 In 250 Watt Powered SubwooferStrengths: Ground shaking bass, responsive, clear bass, accurate, solid structure. Weakness: NONE!!! Hooked it up the same day received. Great for movies in dts and 5.1 formats. LFE compatible w/ switch, adjustable crossover, adjustable level, L and R RCA sub-woofer level inputs. Ordered it from an on-line store for about 250 dollars. I have had it for 6 months and am not disappointed. I have listened to a lot of subs and i just couldn't pass this one up. Don't pay the 450 at best buy, you can find great prices on the internet. JBL 12 In 250 Watt Powered Subwoofer
Strengths: good sound at a reasonable price
Weakness: poor quality. It died after only a couple years of weekly use.
This unit does have great sound and compliments the JBL surround speakers. It is very adjustable and you cannot complain about the price.
But after two years of ownership, it does while it was in standby mode. This unit gets used once a week. It keeps blowing fuses.
I hear this is a common problem and cannot be fixed since JBL does not have any replacement parts. Shame on them!
Not sure if I will buy anymore JBL products again. They should replace this at their cost since this is a common problem. But they offered to sell me a new model for $230. Not sure if I want to take a chance with my money. Unless I can get the board repaired, the rest of the unit is junk.
