Toro Ultra Electric Blower/VacStrengths: Less noise than gas powered. No tools needed to switch from blower to vac. Significantly lighter than gas powered blower. Weakness: Small vac bag. Corded. Pleased with purchase. Trade offs for switching from a gas powered blower were good. Happy to never use my old smelly, loud, heavy, gas powered blower/vac, even if I now have to schlep around a cord. If your yard is small this is the clearly the better choice. I guess battery powered would be best. But none exists with this power or weight. 75% of readers found this review helpful. Toro Ultra leaf blower & vacuumStrengths: Blows and sucks your leaves. Variable speed control. Impeller is made of cast alloy and chews up the leaves. Reduces your leaves 16 to 1. Weakness: Can get a bit heavy using this blower. Attachments are plastic, not sure how durable it would be in the long term. The Toro blower and vacuum is the best electric leaf blower and vacuum I have used. Instead of the cheaper units that use a plastic impeller, this one comes with an alloy metal impeller that provides plenty of power and shreds the leaves into tiny bits and pieces. Thus, when you process your leaves, the output reduces your pile to fit in your recycling container. It's electric so you save the environment from pollution of the gas 2-stroke units. 67% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Toro 51599 Ultra 225 Blower Vac - good product and...Strengths: powerful to blow leaves Weakness: You can't vaccum that can't be crushed into pieces. Like seed pods can't be vaccumed You can vaccum small quantities of leaves but I have a huge tree which dumps 20 to 25 trash bags full of leaves. For jobs like that it is not wise to vaccum leaves because it would be waste of power, time and effort. It would be easier if you grab those leaves and dump them in trash bags - it is not practical to crush all those leaves with the small bag you get with this product. 50% of readers found this review helpful. Toro 51599 Ultra 225 Blower vacStrengths: the metal impeller is a HUGE improvement over previous model. Powerful vacuum I also like the blower reducer although i won't use it much to blow Weakness: I don't see any yet but my last Toro only lasted 3 years. And the vacuum tube did not stay together well Bought this product through price grabber and amazon. Couldn't have been easier or cheaper. IN fact, the local Home Depot was out of stock. I even got informed of a rebate. 50% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Toro Electric Ultra BlowerStrengths: Does a great job of blowing leaves, without using gas and oil, saves my back, low cost to run and it blows strong, all the time, unlike my gas powered blower. Weakness: None, so far. I have not tried to mulch leaves with this machine because it does such a good job of blowing the leaves away from hard to get to places, I use my mulching lawnmower, to finish the job. The Toro Ultra is a good investment. Get you one and put the gas blower down, you will breathe easier. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Toro Electric Ultra BlowerStrengths: This product has a shoulder strap that makes it easy to carry around for big jobs. The metal impeller looks very durable for long use. Weakness: The only weakness is the cord. We have a large backyard and will need an extention to reach the whole yard and we have a pool so we have to be careful with the cord around water. I bought this as a Christmas gift for my dad and he loves it. He likes that is chops the leaves into mulch which can then be used around new trees that can use some ground coverage. This product makes a great gift for anyone who has a lot of yard work. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Toro Ultra 12 Amp Electric Blower/Vacuum #51599Strengths: Powerful enough blower, adequate leaf shredder, metal impeller and infinite variable speed motor. Weakness: Vacuum is rather weak; but expected. After a few months of weekend use, this Blower/Vacuum has both it's good points and bad. First, it's electric instead of gas! It's size/weight ratio is a plus for it's power. It does what it claims to do which is a big plus in today's market. The shredder does a fine job for what it picks up albeit not as much as I had originally hoped for. The blower does a fine enough job though, and with the variable speed control, works wonders for garages and other tight spots around the house. I guess my only really big complaint would be the lack of power in the vacuum, but for a corded electrical device, it's to be expected. Don't plan on having this replace your gas-powered machine, but rather as supplemental item in your gardening arsenal. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Powerful blower!Strengths: Very powerful blower and easy to use! Metal impeller! Weakness: None so far Toro is a great brand. Spent lots of time looking at different models of Toro blowers, and my wife wanted to find the strongest blower and that led us to this one. It blows quite forcefully and does a great job at blowing away anything you need it to blow away. As a bonus, it can also vacuum and has a metal impeller to shred anything you suck up. I find Toro quality to be very sturdy and look forward to using this for many years to come. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Toro 51599 Ultra Blower/VacStrengths: Metal blade reduces probability of damage to it. You will invariable suck up acorns, pebble, sticks, etc. A plastic blade would eventually get chewed up. The air flow is quite powerful. Weakness: The extension cord plug gets pulled off very easily. Toro should have had some device that could keep the connection more secure. The "cable knot method" doesn't work at all. While the blowing is easy enogh, the vacuuming is more difficult. It is downright awkward with the bag attached. I have never used another make, so don't know if that is just how it is. However, I think they could make carrying it around a bit more comfortable. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Toro 51599 Ultra 225 Blower Vac - Electric Blower/Vac
Strengths: Well made and well designed. Metal impeller is a great plus. Easy to convert from blower to vacuum and back.
Weakness: A bit heavier than anticipated and balance could be a bit better (especially in vacuum mode).
Overall - very pleased with purchase.
