Good quality radio for small priceStrengths: AM and FM reception are acceptable. Backlight, lock and bass boost features are cool, inexpensive Weakness: Cyclying through presets can be tiresome as you can only go foward and not backwards This is an decent product; the features that are packed into this small, inexpensive device are amazing. AM Radio recpetion is somewhat worse the same as you would get from a standard CD/radio player. The 20 Presets (10AM/10FM) are great. The unit also has a hold button, bass boost, a belt clip, neck strap, backlight, and headphones which are surprising comfortable. Not a bad deal
Strengths: Good feature set for the price
Weakness: Controls difficult to operate without looking at them; cheap construction; 2-AA battery power
Construction on this radio is a little cheap; clear plastic panel is glued on, and the glue is visibly failing after just a few months' use. Would be nice, too, if it were powered by one AAA battery (like Sony's competing SFR-M37V) instead of the heavier 2-AA battery combo.
The buttons' feature set is impressive, including the ability to cycle among preset stations or seek the next tunable station. But because all the buttons feel alike, it's difficult to operate without taking it out of a pocket -- a big downside for those who change channels frequently, particularly during a walk or a workout.
