Memorex music CD-R not as good as expecting.Strengths: Disc is for audio use, so old music player has no problem to play it. Weakness: Expensive. Burnt coaster. So far I have two out of six disc could not finalized, so it became coaster for non-burner player. and the price is double what I bought GQ brand. Even GQ do give me coaster, but at least it is cheap, and this was expected. I have Maxell before, it never give me a single coaster. This time the price did not justify the quality, too bad! Memorex 40x CD-R Media - 700MB - 120mm Standard - 50...Strengths: Works well for Music as it says Weakness: A couple bad discs in the pack. This is a good product for recording music as well as data. I could store almost 90 min worth songs in each. Comparable makes cost about the same and are not so reliable for music in my past experience. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Jul 24, 2005 Gosh, I just bought my 50-pack of Memorex 700MB CD/R from KMart, and more than 5 discs were bad. I've only tried with 8 discs so far, and am already tired of this.. Very disappointing, what a rip off! Hopefully KMart will let me return the whole spindle tomorrow. >_< Sponsored Links

Memorex 40x CD-R Media - 700MB - 120mm Standard - 50...
Strengths: Well it's a music Cdr, and because it's a music Cd-r, it works in most cd players. And Memorex is one of the few companies i can find that makes "MUSIC" Cd-R's. 80 minutes of record time
Weakness: Occasional bad disc, and there's a little picture of this really ugly dude on the back of the packaging. *Shudders*
My 2000 dodge won't play the cheap run-o-the-mill data cd's with music burned on them, but it'll play the audio cdr's (like these). I shouldn't say it won't play them, it just takes a while for it to recognize the music on the disc. But no problems when I pop in an audio cd-r with the same files on it. And if you have a stand alone cd burner, (one not attached to your computer) you probably already know that you can only use the audio cd-r's in there. And you should probably know that memorex is NOTORIOUS for having a bad disc or two in a spindle, but they're one of the few name brand companies I can find that makes cd-r's, and the cd quality otherwise isn't so bad. And in their defense, I used a different company's audio cd-r's, and half of the spindle was bad, and it looks like they revamped their cd's since last I tried them... (we'll see how it goes) SO over all it's a good deal if you're having problems with your cd player recognizing your discs, and or you have a stand alone audio cd burner. And now you've read the ramblings of a guy who's been up 30 hours, and decided to write a review on blank cd-r's. I hope I helped.
