Belkin USB to Parallel Printer Adapter

Strengths: Easily installed

Weakness: None that I am aware of.

I purchased a D-Link DSB-P36 USB to Parallel Converter. The driver could not be loaded even with help from D-Link's support. It was necessary to get an RMA before returning as advised by their tech support. It took seven weeks from the time I shipped the product until it was returned to me, and that was after numerous e-mails, telephone messages and letters, all ignored. Again the driver could not be loaded. I bought a Belkin F5U002 USB to Parallel Converter. It installed perfectly in two minutes. Save yourself the trouble. Go with the Belkin.

Belkin USB to Parallel Printer Adapter

Strengths: Works great

Weakness: none

This cable is a direct repacement for the original cable and I will use it as a spare in my office so I don't have to carry the cable with me from the house.

Belkin USB to Parallel Printer Adapter

Strengths: It works with no hassle and is usually faster than a parallel connection.

Weakness: None noted.

Has been used primarly with Windows 2000 but should be just as good with any other USB compliant Windows version. Recommended. When used with an Epson C-80 printer the speed increase over parallel was about 200 percent.
